Python Mk II & Updates To The Gamestore

  1. Yes well more precisely a percentage of the price in credits of the ship and modules fitted at that time.
  2. Zero credits as long as you don’t change any modules.
  3. Yes.
  4. A percentage of the cost of the modules fitted at the time of destruction.
This is the same situation as the free Sidewinder many of us started with it doesn’t cost you any money to rebuy it until you change modules and you cannot make any money selling it or part exchanging it.
What makes you think the Python MkII will be Zero credit rebuy?
What you are actually paying for is early access to the ship. You pay your £10 and it will be available to purchase from the in game shipyard.
Ship rebuy for the Python MkII will be same as all ship rebuys.

FOMO (which is not even a FOMO since you wont be missing Mk2 anyway)

Yes I will as I don't plan on spending ARX on it.

I don't see the issue with Mk2 being released for the whales(if there is such thing in ED) before the schedule. Its not like it will be paywall locked like Cobra MkIV (which I do have since back then I believed in Fdevs). You want Mk2 before the scheduled release date? Dish out 10 pounds for it. You don't want to spend the money but ingame credits? Wait till August.

I see an issue. I see a working in game asset that FD are deliberately delaying releasing to players unless they give FD money. Its not that people who give money get it earlier, its that everyone else gets it later, even though its right there, in game, to be had, except for FD adding this arbitrary delay in order to make cash. There are other ways for them to make money.

For those referencing the dreaded SC, you should really check their store page where you literally unlock the new ships depending on the money spent. So a guy spent $1000 will see more purchasable options than a guy spent $40. This is nowhere near (nor it ever should be) that scammy business model.

Other thing being worse doesn't make this thing better you know?

Also, for those slamming P2W, you should really check out how World Of Tanks is regarding that. Literally purchasable tanks are in 80% of the cases better than their counterparts purchasable with in game credits.

Not if you buy a prebuilt Python MKII for ARX

"The Python Mk II will also launch with a Pre-built Ship package, allowing you to kickstart your career in the latest ship, including a brand-new paintjob and ship kit."

LOL, so buy it in EA (16k ARX) and get the ship kit (nominal value 13k) and free upgrades (and presumably free rebuy then if its one of the pre-built packages - FD have said those will have zero rebuy). But then you're effectively only paying 3k ARX for the EA if you discount the ship kit.

Meanwhile those who wait will still be paying something like 13k for the ship kit after August and won't (presumably) have the zero rebuy.

This stinks.

I don't think the early access and the pre built PMKII is the same thing, they are mentioned separately, but I might be wrong. The prebuilt might only be available after the early access finishes, who knows?

Money, Arx and whatever aside, and might have been asked before:

Have the Python MK II's specifications been published or is it Le Big Surprise on May 7th?
Same goes for the pre-build others...

They did, and you are correct, they confirmed 6 hardpoints too, but not the sizes of those.

the size of the hardpoints can be deduced from the ship's presentation
i think i identified 4 large and 2 medium - basically the same layout like the Python mk1 with an added large hardpoint on the top centerline, far behind the cockpit

Info for two prebuilt ships have been posted, interiors and hardpoints of the Python MK II are still unknown. We only know it gets 6 utility slots.
Do you mean the 'pre-build types' mentioned in the original info? I mean real stats like weapons' and modules' stats and/or grades, if applicable. Edit: And ofc weight, hull and so on.

But it seems that they will save this information for later or the release date (although the little devil on my left shoulder thinks that the first one to buy it will be the first one to know).... ;)

From the released pictures, it'll have 3 large and 2 medium hardpoints. The size of the 6th hardpoints is unknown. Some say that one hatch-looking dorsal feature behind the canopy could be a small HP, but I don't think so—it's placement would block the central large HP and an extra small HP compared to Krait MKII and Python MKI is such a small increase in firepower. My money is on the 6th HP being under the ship's chin, class 2 or 3.

Also, Python MKII looks suspiciously like Revell's F-19🙃

nah, it looks that it's a large and is far behind the cockpit, between the two large on the sides, maybe slightly behind them
