QOL Feature: Display Stored Inventory Quantity Info When We Are Collecting Materials etc

Could we get this Quality of Life feature at some point please? It would be very helpful. The info could be displayed as either A,B or C in the attached pic, or some combination of those. We just really need some way to see how much of a current material/data etc we have in our inventory before we collect it.

Great concept pic, this has been suggested before, and it is a great idea that needs re suggesting until it is implemented.

Great idea, which has been mentioned before. (Not that that makes it less of a great idea.) Rep++

This should probably be in the Suggestions forum.

Yes, also add a little pushpin icon if a material is part of our pinned blueprints. Also allow us to pin as many blueprints as we want.

You can see how much of any material you have, but it's in the right hand panels, not the left as OP is suggesting.

Yeah this is true, but it is annoying having to swap back and forth between panels, go to the correct sub section and then scroll through all the items to see what one you need to know the quantity of (for Materials, Data and Components). In fact this is so much of a pain in the butt, I basically never bother to check how much I have before collecting them...I have "dumping sessions" now again to get rid of the items I have most of when I start to near the storage limit.

Nice idea too babelfisch

The amount of constant headlook switching back and forth and joystick wear this creates is rather infuriating. I ended up buying an external numpad to navigate menus to reduce the wear on my stick for reasons exactly like this. A line in the tabular data under the material name with the amount already in storage would be ideal. An indication that it's a pinned item for a recipe would help too.

Edit:

OP could you add a 'D' version that has the data in the table under the 'Hull 80%' bit in the table?

This has been suggested before and it's a great idea. That probably means it will never be implemented, or at least not implemented for years.

Nonetheless, have some rep.
