That's actually brilliant, so you could filter by "Not permit required" and get the route plotter to work properly around those systems if you don't have the permits. I recently had to manually plot 1200 Ly of a 5000 Ly trip to the Jellyfish Nebula because of a large swath of permit locked space....this would have been so handy.

I mean...this idea is really brilliant, why hasn't it been done already?!

I was whining about this very thing in the Mobius Discord the other day. Would love to see it become a reality (but won't hold my breath, sigh.)
