If Commander A multicrews with Commander B, while Commander B scans a life form, does Commander A also get the credit in the codex?

Is the credit awarded instantaneously, or after data submission at a station?

Does Commander A have to be present for both the scan and for the submission to get codex credit?

Does Commander A get codex credit at all?
