Question about Progenitor cells

Targeted engineered cells to restore damage in older human cells. These can greatly extend the life of humans that take them. Some cultures believe it is immoral, especially as they tend to be used by the richest people, and so they are illegal in some jurisdictions.

That is what it reads for their item description, but it seems to describe something as small as a pill you can take that will basically make you live longer. but, pills are rather light, and you can fit a whole lot of em in a 1 ton cargo box. So if a single ton of these life extending miracle pills costs like 7000 credits, couldn't everyone live forever? doesn't seem like a lot of money.

I think its life extending not eternal life. So taking them may increase your life by say 20 years but taking them isn't an eternal fix.

I just assumed it was a take 2 a day type thing so 1 ton of cells would only last a person a few months. Although I do agree its not really expensive I think its a gameplay reason that they are not 500,000Cr per ton. :)

Supposedly you cant apply real world logic to a video game.....which is probably why I dislike ED in the way I do. Its inconsistent.

Targeted engineered cells.

Doesn't sound like a pill to me, more like a cultured cellular sample. I think they're based on stem cells which means "living" DNA. So now the description is more like a liquid solution with stasis equipment to prevent deterioration during transit.

Also, give it a little leeway, we don't really want partials of tons or tons+weight, that's just too much complexity without added benefit to the player.

That was my reasoning too. Otherwise yes, the cost is ridiculously low for such amazing things.
