Question about shared asteroid mining

Do multiple ships in the same instance who are not in a wing generate fragments from the same asteroid from independent pools or from a collective pool?

e.g:
One miner laser mines an asteroid and generates 25 fragments.
Two miners wing up and both laser the same asteroid: each miner generates 25 fragments for a total of 50 fragments.
Two miners show up in the same instance. The do not wing up. Each start lasering the same asteroid.

Do they generate a total of 25 fragments or 50 fragments? Does one miner generate 25 fragments and the other -0-?

depends on what you mean by collective pool. cuz the limpets dont care who knocked them off the rock when they goto collect.

but the roid itself will generate the amount of fragments that your character would get if you were alone for each person. (based on if you used a prospector etc)

You can mine the same roid as npcs as well with no impact. The benefits to a wing have to do with finding high value roids ...and selling them in a wing.

but there is no other change to the mining behavior there. So un-winged players will have the same mining behavior as winged players.

That's why it's always good to kill any players not in your group who are annoying enough to mine near you.

Thanks Darth, that's exactly what I was looking for.
