Newcomer / Intro Question about stations

I've been trying to figure out how to locate stations using the galaxy map, as well as the system map but i have no clue how to find them or even if i'm in a place that has one, could someone give me a few pointers?

Stations can be seen on the system map. If you use Sol as an example and click on the system map, you will see stations listed underneath the planets. Like under Mercury is Daedalus station. Saturn's moon Titan has Titan City I believe. Itll appear as either a box or a circle, depending on the kind of station.

There are a thousand questions here per your post as this game is seriously complex. For local systems the Galaxy Map will add in a System Map showing all the bases on the bold letter worlds. We'll start with that.

Thanks, i see what you mean, but for example i'm in Eravate looking for the Cleve Hub, but when i track it and go to where it should be i can't find anything.

On your left hand screen ..scroll down to Cleve Hub (little station icon + name) and target/select it

Then on your compass..line the station up and SC to it ...(solid circle in compass = in front of you ..hollow circle = its behind you

the system map is really just to let you know whats there..you still have to target your destination when in the system

For me, once I know the system, I jump there and then find the station in left pane of your cockpit (at work and can't think of the proper term) that shows you available places to go.

Yea i'm on the left and i go to Cleve Hub and press it, then press lock destination, i then went there (i'm 20.3Mm away) and i can't find anything.

It sounds like you dropped out of super cruise too soon. When in supercruise it will count down LS, then Mm and finally KM. Wait until it states Km and the safe disengage message appears before pushing your supercruise button to exit.

If if you keep your throttle in the blue range, the ship will slow down on its own to safe disengage speed.

I have a habit of always moving my throttle to the blue range as soon as supercruise is engaged, or even when hyperdrive is engaged. It's easy to do if you have an X52 pro, as it has a detention at 75% and this almost matches the blue middle in the game.

when you are in SC going toward Cleve... fly at full speed toward it , then at 7secs throttle down to 75% (the time will stay the same for a while as you decelerate)

The speed and distance will decrease ..on panel on left side lower .. when both in the blue ...a [safe to disengage] type message will flash up ...press 'J' or whatever you have mapped to SC and you will drop out of SC 10km from station ..

edit: if you overshoot the station ..loop back on to target, looping drops speed like a good un

Yep on the left in supercruise you have a little graph thing. Get your speed and distance in the blue and you'll get a "Destination Lock Engaged" message. Hit your supercruise button to exit SC and you'll see the station.

OMG THANK YOU (i feel like an idiot), thanks for all the help everyone that was it. >.< I didn't know that you had to manually exit supercruise i thought it ended when i reached my current lock.

Another question from a noob about stations: why do some of them deny me a landing? All I've done is to fail a few missions, of which none caused a fine to appear; yet I can't even land on the station I spawned in anymore! What's up with that? My fuel tank is almost empty and it's kinda annoying to see that "denied" message absolutely everywhere.
(note: already checked my reputation and it's "neutral" everywhere)

Edit: After reading some other guy's story, it appears that I actually am responsible for that. At some point, I had a coffee delivery mission that I abandoned because a guy asked me to (couldn't find coffee anywhere anyway). I guess that's why all this happened.
