Question regarding stored ship bookmarks

So, I transported all my ships in to one location but on the galaxy map there are still systems marked with the red ship signs... is that a bug or I'm missing something silly? (no modules stored there ether).
Its irritating me beyond believe, the map is already cluttered with my stupid blue bookmarks...

That happens a lot. After a while the markers tend to figure out that the ship has moved and get themselves to the correct system.

It's a known bug.

The markers only update after you've actually used the ship at it's new location.

If you're worried about "losing" a ship, you can always find out where they REALLY are by going to a station shipyard and looking at the ship-transfer menu, which shows an accurate record of ship locations.

Course, that won't be much comfort if you've just schlepped 300Ly to collect a ship and then discovered it isn't actually at the system with the little red marker next to it.

I stand corrected about them updating after a while then. Guess I've just never noticed the correlation between flying a ship and its marker becoming accurate.

Yeah, it's easily done.
Especially if you've got several ships at a station and you're just hopping in and out of them to check the loadouts and not actually flying them.

I've had ships which I've sworn are "missing", only to realise that the reason I can't find it is 'cos it's already at the station where I am... even though the map says it's elsewhere.

This is why I have to revert to looking at my ships location in the stored ship window and not the red markers. I tend to hop around a lot, including transferring ships for later use to a system. So the red markers I just ignore now...
