Quick guide to attacking the Titan's

I put the answer above like this because I thought it is still the most effective activity to regain control systems.. maybe I am wrong with that (?).
You are right, and FDev suggest to focus on Alert systems and kill Othrus to avoid the switch from Alert to Invaded.

Two "fronts" strategy, avoid Thargoid invade new systems, regain control of invaded ones.

That happened for Taranis, first to come, first target of coodinated efforts... Leigong next.

I think "most effective" need to be balanced with "most fun to play", redo same stuff hundred times become boring.

If alot players have fun while doing any AX activities, will be effective in the "big scheme", and seem there is alot of new and returning players, at least from forum posts.

btw, is just me or Leigong resistance status reduce the damage and reward? on Taranis similar bomb run yeld 1.3 Mcr, now is get less of half as reward.
I self quote, confirmed by Paul that credit bonds and damage reduction is tied to Titan resistance.

"2) You need to have earned a minimum of 2M credits from hitting the core (You earn less credits from the Titan when they still need weakening and have a high damage resistance)"

more details HERE in reply of Paul Crowther

Arriving at Leigong in Open all the vents are already blue and none can be targetted. OK check the core, but it's not exposed. So I try firing cannons and my beam laser at the titan hull for want of something better to do. Am I doing something wrong?

This normally means that the instance has bugged out, and you have to get a new instance.

Try in a PG or Solo?

Quite possibly there's also a ganker hanging around waiting to discover your ship.

The blue vents bug was in open. Tried again solo and they behaved normally.

This is the same behaviour as noted with Taranis last week, going PG or Solo was FDev's "workaround" answer until whatever is causing the glitch can be patched out or whatever is needed.

How many times do you have to go through the blue wave thing? 5 times? 10? Too many, since it destroys each time.
Now, ganked, after trying to evade a ganker interdiction by aiming at the escape thing the whole time, which does nothing? If you try to evade a ganker, or anything, and you aim at the blue escape marker for 2 seconds, you should evade it. i.e. it indicates you dont want to be pulled out of hyperspace...thats it, you dont need it to be 20 seconds etc...just long enough to note the intent, not to be pulled out of supercruise. But, how it is, shows FDev support ganking...support bullying? Noted and done.

There should only be one blue pulse wave but what happens when you're in Open (or an active PG) is that you get not only the pulse wave intended for you, but the waves intended for all the other commanders heading into the maelstrom too. And ganked as well? It really sounds like you might be happier finding a private group of like minded players to do this with. Also, evading an interdiction isn't about expressing an intent that you don't wish to be interdicted. It's literally about fighting the interdiction until one of you wins.

What I found when I began doing this and didn't know about the pulse wave neutraliser was that I got pushed back and so had to face multiple pulses, in solo. Possible the OP is not using the pulse wave neutraliser, or needs a bit more practice with it.

To the OP: the Titans are currently bugged in Open mode and you may find when you get there all the vents are stuck. So, I would only do this in a Private Group or Solo to avoid the bug.
