Ok I'll look at the poll...:)

Looked and can't vote ... I don't want a refund, nor do I feel happy that this has gone the way it has .. I can't afford to (but mainly won't) upgrade at this point .. as the only reason to do so is to get something that I feel I have already paid for on time (Ie Premium Beta) .. add an option for just annoyed and i'm in :)

If you no longer want the game, get a refund. It's really not complicated enough to require a poll.
And I'm not sure how my backer status is supposed to help you decide.

From a research perspective a survey has merit.

Without a poll I'd need to go through the other threads cataloguing opinions, it would be incredibly laborious and tedious.

I don't mean to waste your time, this is vastly simpler.

my question to this thread is would the 20% of people who claim to be alpha and voted 'you should upgrade' be willing to pay the cost to those of us who cant afford it? somehow i think not.

£200 is a lot of money to shell out for some and i for one can't afford to throw that much money at the game - i've pledged my limit and don't see why i should feel like i have to upgrade to obtain what i thought i was getting anyway.

in my case that's access to 2nd round beta as soon as its available, not a few days or a week after its released to the higher pledge levels.

I don't have any issues at all... I'm neither Alpha or Beta... I'll play the game when it gets released... as for perks and broken promises... quit whining it is not like DB is using the money to feed his alleged coke and hookers habit...

This game is all a gamble you all decided to fund... if you don't like the risks or that Lord Vader has changed the agreement and that the Princess and the Wookie go with him then you shouldn't have placed your money down.

Personally I think you should do whatever YOU want to do.
After all, you will have to live with your decision.
For me it was a no brainer. Weigh your desire for the game. I'm certain you will live with your decision. Good luck no matter what you decide!

That's a fair question. It's best answered by saying that, to me this is not a useless endeavour.

It may

a)prompt me to upgrade.

b)convince me to leave the forum until a beta invite arrives in my email.

c)prompt me to get a refund.

d)soothe my anger and forestall any rash action

e)give FD a message (most unlikely option)

Decidedly, there are many threads of dispute lately .... It does not matter if the players alpha, start playing the beta before the others. After all, they are well trained for testing before the massive influx of several thousand beta testers

Before the fixed alpha prices, I would indeed help some people out with nudges toward alpha.

I'm not spending 200 outright though!

That's an apt statement, I tried not to add bias in the options

The distribution of answers is telling already. It's expected that many don't care, and quite a few do nothings.

but your questions still do not work. you have no way of knowing if the people who voted 'i am alpha get a refund' (or words to that effect) are actually alpha backers.

If money is no issue then upgrade. Otherwise patience and understanding is your friend... Good things come to those that wait.

If it were not for Braben, I would had asked for refunded already. Yeah we can sense the greeds of these franchise is nothing new really. Remind me of Sony.
