General / Off-Topic R.I.P Sir Terry Pratchett

The news of author Sir Terry Pratchett's death has just hit, a great loss for such an amazing author to die at 66.
I know he's not a "space genre" celebrity but I just had to ask - Is there any chance of FD adding the Disc into the galaxy anywhere as a tribute. I think a flat world on the back of four elephants standing on a tortoise would be a great addition to the galaxy - physics be dam*ed

I'd second this, i was quite fond of his Sci-Fi (Strata etc) and he had quite a bit to say on the positive aspects of gaming and technology in his time.

Man, that is sad :( RIP! ... I've been intending to read his books for a while, but Wheel of time and other series have kept me away from Discworld... Gotta catch up and read them

Terrible shame, he was only 6 years older than me and that is a rather scary thought to be honest.
RIP Terry, you brought smiles to millions with your witty and inventive works.

:( RIP

Was never a fan of more than a couple of Discworld books (too many to keep up with!), but an amazing chap with a singular intellect. I remember watching the documentary he fronted a year or two ago. Will be missed :(

Please, please, please Frontier. honour him with a station named for him. If anyone deserves one he does. He brought happiness into so many lives with his wonderful books.

With a mind as sharp as a twisted stiletto and cultural references to match, I will miss you greatly Sir Pratchett. A very great loss.

Yet Geoffrey Archer is apparently fine, there's no justice in the world. RIP Terry I just began re-reading Thud! this morning.

So finally DEATH has come to visit Sir Terry Pratchett. I have read just about every book he ever wrote. I will so miss his crazy, brilliant satirical wit. Please let us have a Discworld in our Elite universe.
He was born 3 years after me but has achieved so much more, and he still found time to push forward with looking to help those with Alzheimer's, probably the cruellest disease an author could experience. RIP Terry and thank you so much for the tremendous laughs you gave to me and others.

In Memoriam... Terry Pratchett In Memoriam... Terry Pratchett

If there isnt one already, i'd like to see a Terry Pratchett station. Maybe one with a wizzard on the side...

PS hope this font works, its a horror to read but im assuming by using the default it will post ok on the forum!
