And I thought I was weird, because I learned to use QWES instead of WASD. Something which was born playing the excellent FPS Alien Breed 3d 1 and 2 which were revolutionary technical marvels on the Amiga and ran in glorious 320x256 2x2 pixel mode or if you felt that 2x2 was too slow, 1x1 pixel mode ;-)
BTW. how do you scope with that setup??
I scope with the right CTRL key.
I wouldn't call your setup weird. I actually prefer it to WASD (well, ZQSD : pardon my AZERTY) as it gives less strains on the fingers.
But since I'm right-handed and my preference is to have my hands pretty close together, I'll stay with the right side of the keyboard
Speaking of weird : I don't know if your are not-so-young-anymore enough but the original keys were AQOP ( QAOP ). I'm speaking 8 bit era computers. Cursor keys weren't always available
edit: I believe one of the reasons that side is used is because historically there were less issues with multiple keys pressed when using state changes (shift-alt-ctrl) and they were more readily accessible on the right side (using the thumb and index). I'm speaking 199x.
