He just wanted to mention that thagoid appeared on sol (for first time I guess?). Kind of, as technically, hyperdiction and actuall thagoid POI's with burned station as bonus, are two diffrent things.

Doesn't seem that outlandish.

Gabia is a system currently under Thargoid attack. Hyperdictions cause you to drop back in to the system you were leaving... whatever the hyperdiction mechanics are, it's probably something like "If source or destination system has Thargoid presence, roll for a hyperdiction".

So are they in Sol? Not really...just a mechanical edge-case.
Completely normal thing to happen to and from incursion systems. No idea who Canonn let on the twitter buzzer there.
EDIT: ^^ this one.

FDev announces they're dropping new story support for consoles, implying that they're planning something involving on foot story that they couldn't get to console players. Thargoids are starting to come into the bubble. A recent update for Odyssey was delayed by a week.

Could it be...?

What an odd jump to make. Given that it's completely normal, maybe Canonn did know it would happen?
If you're jumping 165.96 ly, then you're using FSD injection in a Jumpaconda, not something you'd do in the Bubble without good reason.

The good reason in this case presumably being to trawl for an interdiction that would leave you back at Sol, allowing you to claim that you'd been interdicted there.

Don't loose your sleep. I will tell you how it goes: Thargoids are coming to Bubble to protect us from the dark force that is approaching us. Humanity as we know it will join Thargoid troops to fight for existence of our race. The plot slipped away years ago from ex Fdev worker that streamed on Twitch. Have a nice day.

The thing to bear in mind is that it’s fundamentally a game of two halves. I mean to say, you can lead an horse to water, but you can’t make it calculus. 68% of everyone knows that statistics are made up 58% of the time.

Flimley

Oh cool, so now they're actively provoking the Thargoids they lure to Sol for the Twitter clickbait. Has Azimuth infiltrated Canonn as well as Aegis now?
Just me or do you think that Fdev could accelerate the stories in Elite now that they have focus?

Could do? I dunno, anything is possible. I doubt it though. The storyline isn't going to benefit from some huge change in capabilities, just the knowledge that they don't need to wait for consoles anymore, if they were.

My guess is that this latest phase of the storyline has been going as fast as designed, with the exception of the Colonia Bridge Phase 4, which never originally existed.
