Yes, the Auto-Destination. It doesn't seem to work anymore in my case. I thought that the date was the problem.
@ralf_maeder it can't be seen as a cheat since its a more advanced form of a personal log.

Yes, in the Options panel.
What shows the Destination panel? Have you tried to reactivate the checkbox in the Options panel. Perhaps, give me a screenshot. Thanks.
@What panels stay open, while you play? Because, TCE stops updating data. You can check this also in the Options panel > Status.

Many thanks for this, for me, very useful tool! I am playing ED for about 2 months now and it was until today when I decide to register on this forum and post something, so this is my first post on this forum generally
I have one problem. I started to update my database, and I started to dock on stations to get the data. Here is where the problems and app crashes begin. I'm in the game, start TCE, all fine, but when I dock in station and open Station Database, enter all the info in it and click save, TCE crash and I get this msg: "Method 'Range' of object '_Worksheet' failed". After that, I start TCE again, and now its all ok until I dock on another station and try to input data from that station.
Many thanks once more for all the hard work you guys have done, and one question for the end, is anyone willing to share with me his TCE.mdb to boost me a bit on the start with the data, I promise that I will return the favor. I am Tycoon and Deadly, playing this game a lot so I will have what to return

That is all I have open most of the time. In the options panel -> Status it shows working.
When I click on Trade, on the destination it shows no data. But if I search for where can I sell or buy a specific product, it shows normally the stations I discovered.

What trade range you have selected? Are the stations too far away/out of range?

I use 200 ly the trade range. But I trade in the exact same area as in the previous version. And if I switch to 1.39f (a backup) I get trade advice with no problem. In 1.40b6, nothing. What's weird is that all the station data is there, since the stations are recognized when I dock in them, and the commodity info is correct.

Please check the filter setting in the Destination panel. Is the arrow button above the scrollbar red? Please click on it and then at the X.
At the position panel, are there all stations listed?
Well after some testing it seems that even version 1.39/1.39f which previously ran fine now slows my fps to a crawl. Activated a hide key & as soon as i hide TCE FPS shoots up. Tried windowed mode, still slows down even tried fullscreen whilst TCE was running (even though i couldn't see the overlay) and my FPS was fine. Uninstalled sweetfx, made no difference, same results. Not sure what else to try apart from reinstalling elite/office so if anyone has any other suggestions before i do that i'm all ears.

It took a bit of fiddling around (I have Norton Installed and he did NOT like the EliteOCR.exe) but I now have it and the EliteOCR working. Great job and many thanks.

I also have been getting the worksheet failed problem above when saving station details after entering data into an unregistered station.
When this happens Excel stops running with no chance to debug any info. Closing the error window shuts it all down, only thing to do is restart again and same thing happens.
What I have been doing is downgrading back to beta3 which does not have this problem. After further testing not yet confirmed is it may have something to do with the notes. Last time it happened I restarted and entered "No Notes" into the notes and it saved OK, will do further testing with Bete6.

I assume you have already tried the first steps in trouble shooting ?
i.e. : Close everything else
Try to run ED only, in window or borderless mode, with no antivirus, firewall and as little background processes running as possible.
once you have that running well for a while with the in-game fps counter showing since I assume that is what you are using,
then start TCE and see if you still get the same reduction with only those 2 programs running.
If so then yes I would say that you are due for a big clean up.
I run ED on an older machine and I would definitely notice it if TCE was pulling a lot resources.
For me at least, it is not !
I did notice that Windows Defenders and UAC have a hard time when I update TCE until I right click TCE.xlsm and unblock it.
Other antivirus might react the same way.
Worst is when you run both Defender and another antivirus or even 2 mores as I have unfortunately seen many people do !

One more error I have encountered. Ship Logbook -> Stored Locations -> Shipyard -> Error when click on any location "Subscript out of range"

Just updating to 1.40 and noticed that both the prestart.bat and the desktop shortcut is looking for TCE.bat and this file does not exist anywhere, I even looked in the non-installer version to see if it had gone missing from the installer version.
I can create a TCE.bat manually but what is supposed to be in it?

Thanks for reporting. I will add it in next full-release, but for now, you can add it to your database. Open the Logbook.mdb, find the Rares table, add then a ID and the name of the rare commodity. After restarting it should display.
Its created with the installer. There is no update possible, as i noted. Please install the new version with the installer.

Hmmm... Can you upload your database, i have to check it, where the problem is.
