If you want the old starter database, filled with 150 trade stations, PM me.
But the main thing is your current position in ED. If you are at a location far away from the stations of the database, its useless, if you dont plan to move to the stations, that got recorded from another user.
I suggest to create your own dataset around your current location, where you are playing. TCE encourages to unreveal your sourrounding stations, to discover the unknown to you and store the data of them.
Try it and you will see, that it is better to fill up your own database with station at your current location.

Hi Eventure, absolutely brilliant solution for trading. Have used previous versions with n o problems however with this release every time I want to enter a station in trade station DB i get runtime error 381. Debug shows this:-

The problem must be your database. Please make a backup of your database first. Then run TDM on your current database to create a new. It should sort out the problem. If not, please send me your database, so i can check it myself.

Hi Eventure

Maybe I am missing something simple here but is there a way to search for the nearest say Alliance or any other faction Station that I have visited to where I am currently? I know I can search for commodities but I cannot find anywhere to search for Allegiance. This would be useful if for example I am in Empire space and want to cash in some bounty credits at the nearest Alliance station.

Not currently, but i add this to the next update. There will be a small icon before the ECONOMY header of the Position and Destination panel to change between economy and allegiance view.

- Added an icon to the economy header to swtich between economy and allegiance view at the Position and Destination panel.
- Fixed an issue at the Trade Wares Database panel, showing SAVE without changing anything.
- Fixed an error at the Trade Scout Route Planner panel, if a filter setting got no results.
- Fixes a display issue at the Position panel, showing only numbers instead of a date, when using the scrollbar.
- Fixed some wrong translations for the new Credit Balance Overview.
- Updated Language.mdb database file included.

Note:
This update didn't need any TDM usage for your database. Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version.

Help request:
The translation of TCE into russian language is incomplete at the moment, i need your help in finishing the gap here, because i can't speak/write russian.
If you like to help, please fill up the missing translations at the Language.mdb file, mainly the Interface table text. I have done the translation as far as i can, but please check the translations present at the file, if they are correct.
Please send me your translations and i will include them asap to the next versions.

I decided to go with a clean install and deleted DB's etc. After install and config i get the same problem. Not run TDM because i no longer have any old DB.

Checking in the DB i noticed there are no stations entered ie blank after install. Is this correct, i thought i had read there needed to be at least 2 entries.
Is this correct or i have i installed wrongly?

That is correct. The 2 station requirement was removed long ago. Yokai's guide is slightly out of date.
Sorry, but i can't recreate it. Please tell me, if you getting this error on opening the station database panel or on saving? Perhaps you can make a screenshot of the whole display, so i can see, what data is shown. Thanks.

Star coordinates are there but when i press plus sign for add station this window appears, click on star system and the error window appears. Trade station window never has any population.

Thanks for your help, love this trade solution but its driving me to distraction now

It's been a while since I posted as I have not been able to play ED much recently.
I had an evening last night with your brilliant TCE and may I say that it is even better than ever.
Fantastic job - so useful and stable now.
Keep up the good work - I will re-donate at some point very soon.

Thanks for posting the screenshot, the error has to do with the compact UI. Please switch to the classic UI for the moment. I will fix this error soon.

I added a starter database to the main post to download for all, but you can't import these stations into your present database. It is designed for a clean start of TCE.

Hi Eventure,

when I transfer my Db to the new version I get the following error:

Error in Export Mod Data
Error line: 50
Error: (-2147467259) the operation must be carried out on a query that can be updated

TDM does continue after I clicked ok
After clicking YES for adding the unregisterd station I get the same error when TCM is adding space stations, the line is then 110 and again it continues after clicking ok.
I can import the new data, but when I start TCE it just hangs at 50% or so. No errors but I need to hard kill excel (ctrl-alt-del)
I have OCR in a folder outside the TCE folder, could that be the problem? I selected the OCR folder inside TCE, similair error but it now states:

Error in Export Add Data
Error line: 110

Continues after clicking ok. Starting TCE makes it hang again @ 50%...

Oke, found the problem, I use BCP before and I never adjusted the paths inside OCR. Lesson learned

, but I like to point out that this was not an issue before.

In short, make sure the paths in OCR are pointing to the OCR_BMP and OCR_Export maps INSIDE the TCE folder.

Decided to post this anyway just incase there are other ppl who had a similair problem................

Hello too,

the path settings at the main application of EliteOCR is not necessary for TCE, because TCE didn't use the main application. It uses the command line application, where all paths are set manually within the command. The error comes from something else, because you wrote, that you got the error when using TDM, not TCE. Is it possible to send me your old database, before you created a new via TDM? So i can check, which problem exists. Thanks.

First of all thanks for great work. TCE adds a lot of immersion to the gameplay and is at the same time very functional.

I have encountered a problem recently. After adding commodities TCE is suggesting trade with commodities that are not supplied by particular station. If I go to the commodities panel though it the data is correct. I tested this for several stations.

I would like to ask how to check where the problem lies?
Is it safe at this point to reinstall TCE completely, preserving my DB at the same time.

Hello,

all commodities scanned or entered at the Commodity panel, should show up at the Trade Overview panel after saving them.

To your problem:
I need a little more deails. Please tell me if you have the issue, when updating a registered station or new station?
Did you make a clean scan or an update scan (if using EliteOCR)?
Did you use the starter database or you created your own?

Your issue could have to do with a database problem. Please try the following, if you want to make a reinstall:

1) Rename your current TCE installation folder to TCE.old.
2) Install the newest version of TCE to same place, as the renamed one before.
3) Start TDM from the new TCE installation and select your old folder to transfer the databases and TCE.ini file.
4) Let TDM integrate the new created database into your current version.
5) Let TDM copy your EliteOCR version (when used) into your current version too.

Start TCE again and edit a commodity at your acual station manually and save it. Did the changed value show up at the Trade Overview panel?
If you having the problem again, please send me your database for a check up.
