As requested a little walk through on how to crash TCE, though this was made with version 1.50a not b.

EDIT: Also in the Current Station panel, 'RABATE'? I think you mean Rebate.... maybe? Not actually sure what word would be best there as I'm not sure what those figures actually represent.

EDIT the 2nd: Hmm the above bug only seems to exist in 1.50a and before so maybe an issue if you've got no stations at all..... pass. It works fine in 1.50b so *shrugs*. Though you remove the current station from the list of destination stations so not sure if it would still be an issue or not with the other bug fixed.

Yep, rebate is it, literal error. The column shows you, what is the highest rebate for a good to buy there. So, the bigger the minus, the better your profit.

I think, it was fixed with the empty Select Destination panel bug. The current station is automatically removed from the destination list. This is intended.

Hmm. This seems to have been the values in the ini file for a while.... in fact they keep resetting to this so, another bug? Recreating the ini file from scratch isn't difficult so I've done that now, but if it resets again I'll hopefully notice when it happens and post a replication log for the bug (all six values were -1 when I first started using the screen and they keep resetting to -1).

The Trade Scout is locked till you have two stations.

this is done everytime by tce when updating from another version. it detects the .ini, merges other values correct but all distance relevant parameters are set to -1.
i compare the old and new .ini and just copy it over by hand if i did an update.
any chance of changing that behaviour for future releases?

edit: just read the latest post. 1.50 did it, too. was it changed in a/b version? always using tdm for full releases.

Not sure if this is significant but I had the following error this morning having completed an update scan of prices at WISE 1506+7027 Dobrovolskiy Enterprise and pressed "Save". The "Wait" came back as usual and then this error message. Pressing OK on the error message did not crash TCE and I had the usual Trade screen displayed afterwards. Because TCE did not crash, I could not get the code involved but I see the error message does have an error line number for you. In case there was a problem I closed TCE, restarted TCE, carried out the commodities price scan again, saved it and no error this time.

I am only reporting this error because I received a similar error yesterday at a different station after having carried out an update commodities price scan but I did not record the error message then.

Running TCE v1.50a.

I think, i found the issue. It can occur, if you opened the Station Database panel and switching to a different panel without hiding the database panel manually with the button. If you saving then some price data, TCE still thinking, you are at the station database panel. The next release will hold the fix for it.

Yes, that could have happened although I do not remember exactly since using TCE becomes quite mechanical now. Both the stations concerned were stations I had not visited in a long while so I opened the Station panel to check the stations were correctly filled in. Since I did not make any changes it is possible I did not close the Station panel before I opened the Commodities panel to scan the commodities data.

Hi Eventure,

I have an issue with OCR, it works 100% good with the standalone version but in TCE, when I hit Start OCR, nothing happens.
I tried the debug window, typed EliteOCR -i Screenshot.bmp -l fra -t and enter, a little black cmd window popped out during 0.2 sec and disappeared. I closed the debug window and nothing cames out.
I searched everywhere and couldn't find any answer :/

Any idea ?

Just a suggestion but I get that from time to time after an update and it has always turned out to be the location of the OCR directory is not correct.

Try letting the paths be detected automatically.

Strange error I've noticed. When saving station services, extra ones are saved that weren't selected. Seen it happen twice now. Just saved one where I only selected Refuel and Repair, but after saving it also gained Rearm and Outfitting.

Just tested with only selecting Refuel, and found that after saving, Repair, Rearm and Outfitting appeared. Also now found that selecting Repair only gives no services after saving.

Fantastic tool - thankyou for the incredible work that has gone into it.

There is only an allegiance for a station selectable. In the early days of ED, there was a seperation of anarchy and independence, but today i finding only independent stations. I select anarchy allegiance to unsanctioned stations only.

For your info: TCE didn't use the main program of EliteOCR. It uses the command line tool (EliteOCRcmd.exe) at the bin folder.
Check also, if a screenshot is created at the OCR_BMP folder and the export.csv file at the OCR_Export. Look into the export.csv, if there are the results listed from the screenshot.

Sorry, but you don't have to type something into the debug window. The debug window shows an error message or processing blocks and after that a command prompt. Also, if you type something in, you have to use the EliteOCRcmd.exe command file, not the main file, as you did. In addition, please check, if you selected the correct OCR language (= game language).

If no export file was created, EliteOCR produces an error or is missing (wrong path at the TCE.ini file, please let the folder autodetect from the setup). That issue should be displayed in the Debug window of TCE. Please check the error log of EliteOCR at the bin folder.
Please use no white color of text, if you reply.

The translation of TCE into russian language is incomplete at the moment, i need your help in finishing the gap here, because i can't speak/write russian.
If you like to help, please fill up the missing translations at the Language.mdb file, mainly the Interface table text. I have done the translation as far as i can, but please check the translations present at the file, if they are correct.
Please send me your translations and i will include them asap to the next versions.

Image too small! Minimum market width requires: 1065px, given: 1064px
