Hi Eventure

Just to be clear please, I want to add a High Intensity Extraction site to my Stored Locations.

So I go to the Logbook and highlight the nearest entry to that site - which may be a Star, an Inner System Sector Number or a Station - and then add my Note about the HI Extraction Site, click "Save" then click "Store Entry" and then "Extraction Site". If I now go to my Stored Locations I will see that site under Resource Extractions where I can add additional comments to your default Note if I wish.

Is this correct?

Thanks, Rob

I prefer the following way:
1. Fly to the High Intensity Extraction site and drop into normal space.
2. Now you will see at the Position Display your star system name and your current sector number. Open the Travel Logbook area of your Personal Logbook panel.
3. The last entry, which is your current position, is automatically highlighted. Click on the STORE ENTRY button and thereafter on EXTRACTION SITE.
4. Now go to the Stored Location area and click on RESOURCE EXTRACTION.
5. Select the entry, your stored, and click on EDIT LOCATION and enter the name of the location shown in game, to find it again at a later date.
6. Thereafter make a note and select, if known, the resources, which can be found at the location.

Now you will be able to return to that particular location by selecting it at the Stored Location area and setting it as your current destination. When you reaching this location again, the Position Display will show now the star system name and the location name. Below that you will see the category name of the stored location (Resource Extraction).

@While checking the procedure above I found a bug in detecting the stored location correctly. Will fix it tomorrow, when I have more time.

Update (1.53.2) released:

Changelog:
- Fixed an issue with the position detection of stored locations.
- Fixed missing translations of location categories at the Position Display.

Note:
This update didn't need any TDM usage for your database. Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version.

Many thanks Eventure. I will give your method a try later over the weekend on the new version 1.53.2.

1.53.1 ran well.

All runs well here, so please check this:

Question: When I start TCE it only shows 'Waiting for Elite Dangerous. Please start the game or restart.' Where is the problem?
Answer: The waiting message comes, if TCE can't find any position data in the Net Log file. Please do the following to fix the issue:

  • Edit your AppConfig.xml file, located in Elite Dangerous\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-####\ folder, if there is the entry VerboseLogging = "1" under <NETWORK section. It should look like that:
<Network
VerboseLogging="1"
Port="0"
upnpenabled="1"
LogFile="netLog"
DatestampLog="1"
>
</Network>
  • Start Elite Dangerous till you are in the game.
  • Start TCE.

    Did you made an update of ED?

Hi. Sorry about my english.
TCE is a good tool for ED! Thanks.
I can no longer use TCE, if i continue play ED with Oculus Rift DK2 ?

Hard to say, some users asked this some time ago, but none of them reported back, if it is working. So you have to try it yourself and please report here, if it works or not. I will add this to the FAQ section. Thanks

Now a preview of the reworked classic UI panel comming with the next full-version of TCE:
new_classic.JPG

I added a star system SUMMARY button, an own button for the Trade Scout Bidirectional (now ROUTE FINDER) and Trade Scout Route Planner (now ROUTE PLANNER).
Further i will create a small panel for the Credit Summary Overview (openable with the CASH button) and added to the Commodity button two new buttons to switch to SCAN PRICES or VIEW PRICES directly.
The NAV button opens and closes the Navigation panel.

How you feel about it?

Punkerich approves.
:)

Hmm, not sure if it's possible or not, but one thing I discovered on the route planner is that when you plan on going from one station to another in the same system (due to different things being sold/bought at them) the route planner doesn't allow this as it doesn't show stations in the same system as the previous one as possible destinations.

Any chance this could be changed?

Of course, yes, because it is a bug. Will be fixed with next release.

Those extra features will come in useful. Thank you for keeping the Classic UI Panel and it's nice to see you didn't give up on it.

Hi Eventure

Maybe I haven't understood everything correctly.

I followed steps 1 thru 6 above and ended up with this as my Stored High Intensity Resource Extraction site:

HIRES Stored Location.png

Now you say select this entry and set it as your destination? But where to set it as the destination? Would the destination be Regulus on the ED Map?

I "manually" went back to this HIRES from a station within Regulus simply by selecting it from my Navigation Panel. However, when I get to it, the Position Display does not seem to display it but simply as Sector 3 within Regulus. So what am I doing wrong or have not unbderstood?

Thanks, Rob.

Looks goood Eventure.

Think i may have found a bug, Trade Scout Bidirectional seems to show inflated profits in any route by about 1000 cr.

Any chance this can be fixed.

Ta muchly

Thanks, Rob.

I found at least two issues, unfortunately in my code :(
First thing is the Set as Destination button showing only, when you out of the system and the second is the incorrect logbook entry.
Both will be fix with the next update.

There is nothing changed here. The results coresponding to your data and filter setting. Perhaps a screenshot shows the problem.

Hi Eventure

Phew! I can breathe normally again. Couldn't work out why I was failing to get this working :D

Your new Classic Panel looks good.

Rob

Eventure,
Nice work btw, seems to work well these days.
Just did some exploring of your interface since I've just upgraded from 1.46. All went well btw.

Trade Scout Route Planner & Personal Logbook stay in front of Panel Positions window when selected via button 'show' on panel position window.

I'm not sure if anyone else agrees but since about version 1.37, Commodity Panel needs a little squeeze, I liked being able to use the scroll bar in the 'Game Commodities' screen when OCR'ing, now I can't.
I don't think it's helping that the OCR app is getting prices wrong randomly either.

Is there anything you can do about it?
