Newcomer / Intro Remote workshop

I have just received invite from ELVIRA MARTUUK. Since Farseer & Elvira offer FSD upgrade, I wound expect even I have unlocked G5 FSD from Farseer, I still have to unlock from G1 to G5 FSD for ELVIRA MARTUUK from scratch. And remote workshop wont help on this?

Just want to get this clarified before heading out to ELVIRA... Because both offer FSD upgrade, I think I would pin FSD from Elvira, and thruster G3 from Farseer. Upgrade the thruster & FSD on my ships in other systems via remote workshop & fly them to Deciat for Farseer to upgrade G1 PP & Shield booster.

I unlocked Farseer and Tod only so far :(

So sucks that can only pin 1 blue print per engineer....

I always have G5 FSD pinned from Felicity and use Elvira for something else.

Also, you unlock engineers rather than the modules they can upgrade so getting a G5 from FF does not mean you'll automatically have that grade unlocked at other engineers.

You can double up on blueprints by using the Colonia engineers.

Remote engineering is a bit of a waste of time anyway because you don't get the experimental effects. I only have long range FSD pinned. With that and Guardian FSD boosters, you can hop from engineer to engineer pretty quickly now.

I don't agree with that - for example if you have level 5 shield pinned then you can engineer up to that and nip to a nearer engineer like Elvira or Didi to slap on a special. The same is especially true for thruster mods and most others to a greater or lesser extent. So I think it is a bit simplistic to say they are a waste of time, just my opinion though.

You can also slap the effect on at G1 and do the rest remotely.

That's true, but it takes so little time to engineer a ship when you have all the mats that it's easier just to visit all the engineers and get it done. I have all the normal things pinned, but I can't think of the last time I used one other than FSD. In the beginning people normally pin the FSD range, O/C PP, charge enhanced PD, etc, but as you go through the game, the engineering becomes more specialist, especially the weapons, so no use for the things you have pinned.

That is because you played over 10,000 hours. The average player has a different experience.
