Using third party sites are one way of increasing chances of getting the mission-only commodities we need. I prefer not to use them as I play in VR and also think the game should provide the means needed. But when it doesn't, I'll gladly go hunting for information about where others have found things. That information may not always be up-to-date. But at least it is there, and finding out if it is relevant or not can make made into part of the game play: That's a bit like using 50 year-old information about an area. It may not be recent, but it may be all there is.
