Repeat the same Guardian unlock 18 times? Really?

Oh, come one, not really, I've been reading the posts and there is no 'improvement for the guardian process' suggested, just:
- 'get rid of the grind' since I want the materials and data NOW, im not interested in this guardians stuff, don't make it required, it is optional.

You havent a clue have you, dont know how many pages now and this still comes up. Have you read the whole tread?

Obviously not because there are a ton of suggestions on how to improve the process.

But no you would rather give us your ill informed opinion while on your high horse.

Also its frontiers game, they will decide how to do it. They havent asked for feedback and were not game designers.

So take your sloppy ill informed arguement somewhere else please.

If I was FDEV I'd implement the fixes exactly as they've asked for in this thread. I'd start by announcing that they've fixed the issue that only one structure gives out module blueprints.

Lets face it the people demanding these fixes will never know they are just being wound up, and the people who do know better will find it funny.

Everyone wins. Or thinks they've won in the case of the people with the imaginary problem.

The various suggestions are mostly based on second hand imaginary fears, it's hard to rebalance something that's not a real issue.

You keep assuming that the players who don't like the tech broker grind are afraid of it and have not tried it. A lot of us have, and we've discovered we don't like it. There is no "fear" involved, our dislike is due to experience.

Thankfully you do not speak for Frontier, who agrees that the Guardian grind is too much so they are going to be improving / reducing it.

Your arguments that the grind is fine are pointless, Frontier disagrees with you.

Nope, I keep reading people make stuff up. That's a different issue.

and I thought there is a strong agreement in the forum that frontier definition of grind and design is poor.. but now they seem to be spot on? LMAO

I'm currently in a guardian site unlocking stuff up and I don't think it is a grind, it can be improved, for sure, it is boring? after 4 or 5 rounds it is, but I find it really far from a 'grindy' process.

Sure, running the sites four or five times is all good, I'm fairly sure most people in this thread actually said that, a LOT of people said they thought the process was pretty cool and a nice addition.

It's once you've done it more times than that it get's a bit stale.

I've been out there again since this thread restarted, just using the galmap filter civilisations - guardians to find them, and I've so far found one site that had the data point, having visited about ...seven or eight. I have one more weapon blueprint fragment than I did.

It's less bad than relogging, but I am starting to get pretty "meh" about it now and I only got one more blueprint fragment so far!

Hopefully next time I play I'll find another few guardian structures that have the data point...

I'm sure, it would have been less dramatic if the title of this thread was: 'i want all the guardians stuff without all the work', because really, who needs all of the guardians stuff.. I don't, and the title does not reflect my reality, that I don't have to do it 18 times, so..

Can't say I can justify the Guardian grind for me. Grind,grind,grind,grind....Unlocked two cannons (fixed plasma charger and Gauss),the power plant and distributor. Didn't like Gauss much but the Plasma is a cool small boat option that I like for the Medium hard points . Don't see any advantage to use the distributor or PP given my engineered ones are lighter and have better numbers. Pretty much used them on some boat builds for small craft I put together to save the valuable MATs for engineering on other projects. You would think that the Guardian modules would be leaps better/. lighter and really draw folks to go and experience the Sentinel ambushes that await them:rolleyes:
Didn't get a FSD module before the recall so I hope that justifies some more grinding when its available again.
Happy Trials Gang!!

Well they adjusted the requirements for each weapon and module.

Glad to see FDev responded to the community.

I know some would rather a more complex solution but for me im just happy to avoid the whole experience being a repetitive grind.

Ill saddle up over the weekend and get myself some guardian tech other than the gauss cannons.

Thanks community,thanks FDev:)
