Oh I see; so there is discrimination against Thargoids? No wonder they want to kill us, Brett C won't let them on the forums.
Everyone, everything is no longer T.J.'s fault; it's now Brett's fault for not allowing the Thargoids in.
Sometimes I want to open up the route of negative rep again... where too much negative rep would fling you out into the black of space.

Paradox have a three rep system on their forums that I really like: Agree, Respectfully disagree and Helpful.
Works quite well.
Not sure if the forums support it, but what about having to "earn" neg rep points to dole out. Like 1 neg rep point banked for every 25 positive rep earned.
This way people wouldn't waste using their neg rep on people just because they said something silly, or they don't like their avatar.
...or maybe they would, i dunno.
