Reputational Risk

There's something in the corporate world called "reputational risk". I suspect its a factor in the gaming industry as well. Ignore it and watch your own demise. I hope FDEV can recover from this fiasco, but their reputation might never recover. e.g. It took Hello Games years to recover from their initial fiasco.

Everything as always and quite expected for me. Nothing unusual.

Edit: For the worst cases they've promised to release ED server so everyone will be able to run own Galaxy locally. I am good with the option either.

It's not like fdev have a reputation for bug-free releases. Many of us were warning that there were likely to be a lot of issues. And there are. Hopefully they'll get rid of some soon <shrug>

Ci¬G was the opposite...they started off with a game engine with legs already in it...added spaceships and totaly broke everything

I really wouldn't hold my breath of that ever happening though.
