Requests To Stop At Visitor Beacons Are Never Acknowledged When I Get There

How long are you supposed to tool around a visitor beacon before your passenger acknowledges it? I find the beacon and target it and it reveals its information. Then what? I hang around for several minutes but nothing ever happens. So I say 'screw it' and proceed on to the next waypoint or destination. Low and behold the passenger then chimes in expressing their dissatisfaction that I never went to the visitor beacon. This has happened to me several times now. Every time, actually. Am I missing something here?

You need to target the white beacon...

and white while it's 'scanned' like a nav beacon.

In normal space target the visitor beacon (white on the radar) and wait until it got scanned. You will get some information blurb about the tourist site and a confirmation message from your passenger. Then you're ready to go home.

I do that as far as I know. If you're referring to the "space probe" looking thing with what looks like solar panels on it then yes, I target that.

Hm....I would not be at all surprised if this is a new bug. I keep meaning to fit my python for passengers again (I need the biotech conductors). I'll try this some time in the next week or so, and if I remember I'll look up the thread.

yeh, this is a good point too, the passenger will actually say 'thanks, next stop!' once you've done it.

You're scanning the visitors beacon and not the nav beacon right? You'll see lots of Belugas and Orcas when you drop in. I've not seen this issue yet.

It seems unlikely that this has been broken and this is the first report. Ideally op would add a video so we can work out the issue, until then we'll keep guessing as usual

Not broken in my play yesterday. I did tourist missions to tourist beacons for several hours and didn't have any issues. Purely anecdotal evidence, of course.

I've done 5-6 of these missions last 2 days, and working fine as far as I know.

I've not experienced a problem with it just scan it like a nav beacon.

And don't forget you have to be less than 8k away to scan IIRC.

Yes, visitor beacons! And yes, I almost always see Belugas and Orcas hanging out around these things!

If you are scanning the beacon and they still say they are disappointed- move up real close to the beacon and Eject the passenger so they get a real good look at it and then enjoy the view.

Are you sure you are at the correct visitor beacon? Some systems have several.
