Newcomer / Intro Returning player question...

I had played ED for a few months just prior to Odyssey's release. Shortly after Odyssey I stopped playing mainly because the graphics were so broken, I just couldn't enjoy the game. It really felt like a complete downgrade from Horizon.

Well, I returned wondering what the state of the game is now and where is the game going? Does it have a direction? I don't see any QOL improvements either (ie waypoints in galaxy map or predefined external camera positions).

I can't speak to waypoints or camera defaults as I rarely, if ever, use the external camera and tend not to set kilolight-year routes.

With regard to graphic and "downgrades," it depends on what you mean by that - the performance is significantly better than at launch, and in my opinion it looks good. However, this might not be what you're talking about, so it would be helpful if you could clarify that.

No waypoints, but there are 3 predefined external camera positions and there always has been since the camera suite launched but they are not user definable.

The state of the game is hugely better than it was at Odyssey launch and there have been several QOL fixes but these have been more in the nature of tweaks than new features.

Looking at your system specs in that post, yes - I can definitely see why performance was so poor for you.

Seeing as you're paying for the bandwidth anyway, you might as well download Odyssey and see if it works for you.
