Newcomer / Intro Returning player

Hello everyone, returning player here been away for over 2yrs. Seem's i still have all my cash and fleet carrier just a case of remembering all the bloody control's again

Welcome back.

Reading through the bindings can help.

Then doing some of the tutorials/training from the main or cockpit menus will also be useful.

I know just how you feel about controls, I took a 6-month break and felt totally incompetent when I re-entered my ship. So, I set up some spreadsheets (4 pages : Ship, SRV, On Foot, and General) and listed ALL my control settings, with remarks where appropriate to help get my brain in gear again next time I take a break. Just doing the work was a benefit.

I recently returned as well and needed a refresher. So I did the flight tutorial to see if everything worked, and it mostly did surprisingly. Any long layoff in the past has required me to remap everything, but not this time. I found that most axes needed to be un-inverted which is odd, but there ya go.

Then I did the navigation tutorial to be sure I remembered how to get through the landing procedures. I've never been attacked by a station and don't want to start now.

That's all it took to get back in the swing of things.

New stuff, like Odyssey and thargoid wars also require acclimation, but that's true for anyone doing it first time.
