Rift - No Light On Positional Camera, What Do I Do?

The blue light is off on the positional camera for the occulus rift. When I try the demo in the rfit config menu, it turns on and stays on and the camera works fine. However, when I launch ED, the light turns off and I get no positional tracking and there is no rift option in the graphics area.

I've spent over 2 hours looking at solutions for this problem and I have found nothing helpful.

The only thing I have come across is something about pausing the occulus rift service... and then launching ED... but I tried that and that doesn't work either.

Has anyone had this problem. Very frustrating. Thanks!

I had a similar problem a while back (even though I had used DK2 for a while, after not playing for a few weeks, when I came back I couldn't get it to work and the light on the positional camera stayed off), and the only thing that worked for me in the end was to uninstall the Oculus runtime and SDK and all, and do a fresh install.. then int worked immediately... I still have no idea what went wrong before (am using the 0.6 version btw)

If your running Windows 7 or 8 just update the oculus runtime to 0.5 or 0.6 all being well it should start to work again with ED
If you are on Windows 10 it's can get a little more complicated

Also what Adam says make sure your in extended mode
