I had to return my cheap 10 inch tablet for a refund. So am down to just the one 7inch for now.
Hi folks.
Has anybody tried the "opacity" setting on a Roccat button?
I kind of need 50% opacity to get my layout looking the way I want it. It looks fine on the PC editing utility, but on Android client, that grid doesn't exhibit "opacity" style buttons... so it looks wrong.
Any inspiration?

Many thanks CMDR Noctivagus, I'd never heard of this program before. I was using VA but found it often picked up on other sounds in the house and interpret them as commands, the most annoying was my squeaky Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS which was interpreted as "warp" (aka supercruise).
This program will fill the gap nicely until my X52 pro arrives (end of July?)
Anyhoo here is my wee attempt

Just waiting for FD to implement comms in ED and for Roccat to allow toggle switches.
Well we know they are now intrested in ED. And us useing it . So there will be taking notes . We can only hope some of what we say help the development. And also if not implemented. Now will be . Like we are now doing with ED. I love this sort of interaction between user and devs .

Have you tried adjusting the command weight value within the VoiceAttack options menu? Try lowering the numeric value, that should help obviate those background noises interfering with your spoken commands.

Thanks for the tips but I have tried adjusting mic sensitivity, command weight and I've done the voice training thing but I guess the voice recognition software is racist and doesn't like Scottish people. I set up various command for the same thing ie for supercruise I could say, 'supercruise, warp, wharf, engage warp' and if as sometime happened VA just completely ignored me I would have a look and see what it thinks I'm saying and add that in too.
I'm liking Power Grid though, it has the commands I need, it's a gadgetand has so far worked perfectly for me.
You say you've done the OS test to speech voice training. Try doing the training 3-5 times over and saving to the same profile. The more times the better the system will adjust to your various inflections and variations when repeating the same training paragraphs several times. It did in my case work wonders once I run thru the training 4 times in a row, it then picked up on my lazy words.
Also, this might help, what mic are you using, a quality headset mic. Try increasing the mic's sample rate and bit depth to 24bit 4800Hz (Studio) (or its max). If you able to that is. Some USB headsets with built in sound cards often lock to 16bit 44.1 CD. And most wireless mic/headsets often show as 'tape quality' for mic quality, which is usually not great.
And lower the mic level via the OS panel to 70-80%.
Hi folks.
I've tried my hand at a custom ROCCAT thing... guess I was inspired by the recent competition.

Style was very much driven by Frontier's in-game controls and UI, so I've included their note about IP use in the Roccat text bumf (ie. permitted for non-commercial purposes). Also, I found the design aesthetics used by MoBIoS to be a pretty strong influence/inspiration.
So... in simple terms... I'm great a copying creative output from people who actually have talent.

I was wondering if I could get some feedback for different tablet clients. I've used an OPACITY setting for some of the buttons, in order to get the background bleeding through in a pleasing way. Unfortunately, when I use it on my Android device, the opacity isn't applied to the visuals at all.
I'd love to hear if it looks like the above pic on your device. On Android, the HYPERSPACE and FRAMESHIFT buttons have a fully black background, which isn't the way I built it. On the PC editor, they have the "hex" background showing through (as intended).
Cheers!
edit: Update on the opacity thing...
- Apple iPad: Buttons ARE drawn with 50% opacity.
- Nexus 7: Buttons are NOT drawn with 50% opacity.
I'm not publishing mine, my bindings in-game are all over the place. I'll wait until E-D releases before I do anything proper with my grids.

Mostly pretty obvious.
Macro's:
- Salvage Toggle - toggles lights, rotational correction and cargo scoop. One button for all the station tidy-up
- Docking Request - opens Nav pane, hits UI select, UI down, UI select and exits Nav pane. It's for repeating a failed or timed out docking request.
