Rollercoaster Supports

I feel like having them disappear when anything intersects them isn't really any better than rct3. The rollercoaster supports for me have a lot to do with the general 'believability' of the park. It's fun to think that the rides you create could in theory actually work but when you have multiple coasters in the same place the track just floats around. A more intelligent support system that could detect other spaces to fit the supports would be nice. Would be amazing to see multiple rides create a larger support that they all use when in close proximity. I don't know, just feel like the system in place atm isn't very good.

What could also be interesting is the possibility to desactivate supports JUST FOR ONE RIDE , not for the whole rides such as in RCT3...

I wish they'd make less use of supports. Meaning each individual piece of the coaster would have just one , maybe two supports. and fix the floating coaster too lol. Just in my opinion, when you zoom out all you see are loads of supports.

Problem is that the supports disappear if a track goes over another track for instance like a helix. I hope they will add the option to build our own support structure for our roller coasters.
It looks very unrealistic with whole sections or elements of track floating in the air.

In Gameplay Settings select the Interface tab. There you'll find the option Allow Supports To intersect Scenery.

Oh. Yes.

setting - interface - tickbox "allow supports intersect scenery".

Problem is as far as I can tell its an "All or nothing" type of thing... (Which doesn't work out so well when you want some supports to intersect with some scenery, but not all of it...) It would be nice if we could add or remove supports so that the supports line up where we want them rather than where they land.

The only problem is, i don't know how deep it goes, the track is dictating the position of the support in real life. So custom support can come out unrealistic.
Another problem is it has to be easy for everyone to use if.

Theme Park Studio allows you to delete, add, or move steel coaster supports; so, it should be possible to have something similar in Planet Coaster.

Ditto, a tool to remove supports where you want to is a must in my opinion. I found a way in RCT3, by placing a flat roof piece under ground and under the support it would disappear!
I also used this to remove path supports over water to build bridges.
So I guess this shouldn't be an issue for a tool to add or remove supports.

NL and TS are nice games but complex. NL successfull in a niche, but this game is basic in its themepark element.

PC is approaching a wide audience, though i understand your wish, the overall problem of RCT3 was solved with the intersecting, not disappearing supports.

When i imagine all wished components suggested for PC in game i guess i wouldn't buy it if i were a casual user.
It can be too much.

It is like with the collision box or the missing exit from the victory for me. I wanted more freedom there at the first point, but i can understand that it has to be like it is.
Would it make a major difference to the game? No.
