General Routing for Flee Carrier

I don't know if there have been similar suggestions before.
It's very simple, I propose to make it possible to create a route for the FC. Put a route in the Colony, press jump and turn off the computer and go to bed. The next day (as long as the FC has enough tritium) your FC is already in the Colony.

First thing I thought about reading title was - re-routing other cmdrs FCs to another system - would be nice feature for BGS/PP. E.g. when factions are at war there could be combat zone spawned in the proximity of FC and ability to re-route it by destroying all heat relays (similarly to optional goals at CZ).

Regarding OP subject - I guess it can be boring to jump and wait until timeout is gone for next jump. Could be nice feature to have some sort of mobile client to control FC specifically - change market prices, schedule jumps etc. Push notifications when someone landed 😜
 
I’m actually about a third of the way through a FC journey to Colonia and I thought the very same thing. However the devs will probably mention something about balance or other such nonsense. Amazing how we got all this technology yet can’t utilise it!! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️
 
After all, if it is so difficult to make an aircraft carrier automatically move along the route, then at least make the construction of the route itself.
I build a route for the aircraft carrier for its current tank fill.
And I will press the jump button from my phone via remote access to my computer.
 
A long while ago there was talk of accessing squadron features from a webabb instead of having to go into the game itself, but those ideas seem to have fallen quietly into a hole. A lot of the stuff that players have to do that doesn't revolve around actually flying a ship could be doable via the web.

Things like the stuff on the carrier administration panel and squadron panel, accepting friend requests and private group invites, and so on and so forth.

I understand you, but I don't even ask for that, I'll go in from my phone and press one JUMP button myself.
Just give me the ability to build a route for the aircraft carrier in the game itself.

Been asking for a route plotter for a while. Fortunately, there is a free tool that automates Fleet carrier jumps and refueling. Over on discord, called the 'Carrier Navigation Computer'

I haven't used ED in a while, but I think CNC is still available. I was using it for passenger services between Colonia and the Bubble (Back when Tritium was cheap)

Trouble is, won’t work on console and according to the in game rules, it’s actually illegal and can earn you a ban if caught

If that was the case then voice attacks would be banned. I have tonnes of keystrokes setup with voice attacks, CNC was using keystrokes when I last used it.

I think the devs are more worried about software that is manipulating files. Anyway, it's an option for the OP if he's on PC.
 
After they nerfed the jump cost the only limiting factor for FCs is that you need to be there

1. Aimed point at 500 years
2. Pressed start
3. Waited for the jump for 15 minutes.
4. If there is still fuel, go to point 1
5. If there is no fuel poured it from the warehouse and again to point 1
6. How many jumps to the colony?

Yes... it's supposed to be an accomplishment and a journey to make it there. Not just something you queue up over the weekend.

If you don't want to do it loads of commanders offer the service.

I saw on the forum the other day some posts about this issue. It is possible to create a script (set of instructions) to do jumps automatically, but this is illegal as are multiple activities being tied to a single key. Cannot remember the thread topic.

I spent many years playing this and bought my aircraft carrier. What did I get? An interesting game ....
 
Stuck with doing a single jump via remote access apps. remote play and xbox android/ios apps... on console...

The client has to do the work load not their server to many Orange sidewinders as it is. 5bill was to easy to get adding even more server load wont happen...
