I just randomly decided to take my Dolphin on a coreward cruise. Initially I hadn't decided on actually going anywhere, but then saw on the Galaxy map that I COULD go there, so.... I went there. I saw that. I danced on the edge of oblivion and felt the terrible drag of gravity trying to suck me down into a thin sub atomic particle stream of doom. Now I'm going home. Fun was had.

Took about 9 months of exploration and travel in my 21 Ly type-6 prior to Horizons coming out. Managed to get a few planetary landing pictures on the way back but could not drive about as I had no SRV....
Took 2 weeks of flight to get back. No Jaques to pop into either..
Then I popped back there last year in the Anaconda...

That was my first visit to SAG A and it was in my battle ready Corvette the Dies Irae (see the 16th entry on this page). I had a little engineering (but no guardian tech at the time) and it took me about 1200 jumps as I recall. I was so unfamiliar with the area, I didn't even visit Explorer's Anchorage as I didn't learn about it until I was half-way back to the bubble. I recently passed through there again in my Krait Phantom (The Calypso) which is heavily engineered and has a Guardian FSD Booster. I visited Evelyn's Light and Explorer's Anchorage this time since I was "in the neighborhood." Still an awe inspiring sight!

I had to gather Exploration money to unlock an Engineer. I actually only wanted to go to Colonia and back, but then "why not quickly head over to Sag?". So I took my unmodified Asp Explorer with ~46ly range over to it and went back to the bubble afterwards.
The whole trip took me around 2 weeks.

Defected from Li Yong-Rui and pledged myself to Zachary Hudson. I did not have anything specific in mind for the next 4 weeks. So it made a bit of sense to spend the time traveling to and from a place I've never had a reason to go to: Sagittarius A*.
I started from Akkadia and decided to head southwards of the galactic plane. Hopefully trying to "boldly go where no one has gone before" sort of thing. Arrived at SLUEMOA BM-C D7 and then took a route vertically upwards for the final 2,800 LY to reach Sagittarius A*.
Over the next few weeks, I plan to visit and map as many systems on the way back as possible to earn a fair bit of credits. From here, Colonia does not seem all that far away and I am quite tempted to head out there before retracing my route back.
My DBX is not too fancy: set up with engineered FSD and with additional fuel tanks, but no Guardian FSD booster (haven't unlocked that yet, it's on a TO-DO list). Gets me, on average, 55 LY jumps and I can usually jump 12 to 13 times before I need to scoop up fuel. Typically travelling about 3,000 LY per hour of gameplay with this build: https://s.orbis.zone/fbd8.

Well, after 11 months of on and off playing the game, I made it, o7 to my mates for telling me to get off my ass and get there, it was epic seeing it, also congrats to everyone else, past and future, o7.

First time here, I caught a fleet carrier to Colonia and made the rest of the way myself, though I'd like to think all the exploring I've done on the way is worth more than a manual
bubble-Colonia trip. Had a bit of bad fortune when my passengers got scanned while boarding the Fleet Carrier, but they stayed on board despite their unhappiness it's been smooth sailing afterwards. Other than that time when I was relaxing at the Black in Green tourist beacon and I got scanned by what must've been a very bored NPC pirate, but I saved myself from failing the passenger mission with a well-timed heatsink and highwake. No ELWs discovered, unfortunately, but I've discovered many many terraformables and I think I'll have a nice paycheck when I get home. I will be boarding a Fleet Carrier to make it back, this time from an Anarchy system so I don't make the same mistake I made earlier.
