CMDR 1stHill 24/01/2017 was going to try for Beagle Point, but with only 71% hull left I am thinking back to colonia then perhaps have a go at Beagle Point. :)

Have screenshot of my ship at Sagittarius A* on Xbox but don't know how to get it on here.

Whoops, should have been 24/01/3303 of course - duh!

First real exploration run for me. Always wanted to go there, a passenger mission that paid 60MCr finally pushed me over the edge. Hopefully nothing "eventful" happens on the way back. Only reason my hull and modules got damaged was because I tried repairing the FSD, after using a neutron star boost, while supercruising. Trying to repair the FSD while in supercruise is not a good idea... it was the first time I've ever used the maintenance tool.

This was my first big exploration trip and has taken me quite a few hours over the last 6 days to get here.

I had one big scare along the way when the game crashed when trying to dock my SRV and when I reloaded, the SRV was stuck upside down under my ASP. I luckily managed to wriggle the SRV free and right myself and dock. That was my last planetary landing on this journey.

I've never really done much exploring before this, my current rank is Surveyor, but that was mainly from doing bits and pieces in and around the bubble.

I must say that this has been a very interesting trip, and I've learned a lot and managed to gather quite a lot of data. I scanned every system I jumped to and tried to scan as many Water and Earth-Like worlds as I could.

Now all that's left is to return home and hand in all that juicy data! Wish me luck!

Arrived today.
I think I can now call myself a bona fide Explorer.
I set off from Colonia around New Year time and just took it easy.
Might head back there to log my exploration data as I have twin ELWs to get my name on.
After that, who knows?
Certainly not anywhere near the bubble.
Any suggestions for someone with a 31+LY AspX and no particular hurry?
One thing I was thinking about was to get 1000 or so LY from Colonia and just scan everything from a random starting system within the 31LY radius of my Asp, then move on and do the same, rather than just wandering aimlessly.

(Xbox One)

The furthest I've ever travelled before was only around 1,000 light years.

I'd been meaning to make a proper exploration trip for a while, and then when I saw a Passenger mission to go 30,000 light years I decided "why not?".

Plotted my route via Spansh's plotter, but with 100% efficiency (no Neutron star boosts).

Took me just over a week, finishing with a rather jump-heavy Saturday.

My journey's not over yet - my Passenger's destination is around 30,000 light years from home. Once I've got there and turned around, I may take a diversion via the Great Annihilator on the way home...

Why am I learning of the existence of this list only today?

Because I'm terrible at browsing forums, here's why. [sour]

Anyway, a bit late and I didn't really plan to post any proof screen back at the time, so I didn't take a cockpit screenshot in front of the black hole or one in the Galmap...I hope the one I took before the last jump 19.3 ly form Sag A* will do (I really can't fathom why I took a screen there and not at Sag A*).

Made the trip in my trusty T-7 "Holy Cow", 17 ly jump range and a full 190t haul from the bubble to Jacques, then from there to Sag A* and back to the bubble...an excruciating endeavour I swore to never repeat again [big grin]

Beagle Point and beyond!

If you scanned SagA* when you were there then you can go to it in the System map and take a screenshot. I don't think it will show your commander name but since the list isn't being updated I don't think it will matter.

Arrived at Sag A* 7:47am EST 02/02/2017

Imperial Courier (HMS Akita Inu)
All modules at 100% Hull at 73%. Note to self, flying while tired can make one forget small details, like Turing one's shields back on before making planetfall.
