Community Event / Creation Sagittarius Eye

Sagittarius Eye is the number one source of up-to-date news, reports, happenings and stories from around the galaxy.

Focusing less on the Powers and more on ordinary pilots doing often extraordinary things, our growing team of tremendously talented writers, artists and videographers strive to bring you both the stories the moment they happen, and deeper analysis behind them.

Sagittarius Eye Magazine is our monthly publication, consisting of in-depth articles about the most interesting pilots, groups and events in the galaxy, as well as featuring some truly (ahem) eye-catching artwork. http://www.sagittarius-eye.com/

Our new Bulletins feature, consisting of short films highlighting the most fascinating individual stories from around the Milky Way, are made to a high standard by very talented videographers, reporters and voice-over artists.

And our even newer Breaking News element, put together by a crack team of hyper-vigilant reporters, ensures that you can hear about the most important events in the universe as soon as they happen – and much faster than with any other Galactic network.

The magazine is beautiful, as always, but as the first issue I had an article in, my man cave wall demanded I get a physical copy made up for decorative purposes, and being able to hold a copy is just something else entirely :)

Big thanks, and massive respect to the whole team who work there behind the scenes, working hard to bring some life to the Elite universe every month - you guys are awesome :)

Thanks Louis. I've been struggling to find time to read the mag, but only just discovered you have the "breaking news" section and like the fact it's in the style of the old Galnet freelance reports. An RSS or Atom feed address would work best for me, as then my reader automatically picks it up, I don't need to manually check.

I may be able to contribute a few articles for breaking news too, seems less demanding on time than the mag articles. I'll see if anything comes to mind.

Cheers :)

Yay, an official forum thread for people to come and share their love of this fabulous publication!

I've updated the link in the "regular newsletters" section of my "Best of Forum" thread accordingly.

As it has been often lamented over the years — ‘In space no one can hear you squee’ — a problem that’s not lost on us here at Sagittarius Eye as the time comes for us to excitedly announce that the long wait is over, and Issue 9 of the galaxies most propitious publication is NOW LIVE!

Alongside glorious photographs taken from around the galaxy, this issue includes features on some of the many ways people find to make a living, considers some of the ways they've found themselves dying, and once again shines the light of enquiry onto those ubiquitous corporations and organisations that hide in plain sight, as part of the universe that surrounds us.

Greetings Commanders, the eleventh issue of Sagittarius Eye is now available!

Jgu7awU.png

This issue has a stellar line-up of articles. We continue our history series by examining the controversial origins and recent history of the Empire, ask what drives the never-ending search for credits that motivates many pilots, find out what goes into organising a large-scale Galactic expedition, and more.

August issue
Several members of our team are away over August, so we will be releasing a special art issue celebrating the work of our photography partners, the SPVFA.

You can still expect a line-up of outstanding articles — just a slightly more tightly-curated one!

Join the team
We’re always on the lookout for spacefaring talent, but particularly so if you’re a dab hand at video editing, a pro InDesign whizz or an aspiring writer. If you’d like to join a brilliant team making content for a game you love, check out our current available posts.

We hope you enjoy reading Issue 11.

Greetings Commanders!

Today marks the release of our 12th issue of Sagittarius Eye!

To celebrate that, and the fantastic relationship that we’ve forged with our friends at SPVFA, this special edition has an extended photographic gallery of their very best work. And once again our talented team has filled this issue with amazing stories and detailed reporting from inside the universe of Elite Dangerous.

Marvel at the astonishingly primitive and dangerous history of rocketry in ancient times. Consider a controversial op-ed on the current political state of the Empire. Drool over a detailed review of the Krait Mk II. Speculate with us about the possibility of a Third Elder Race.

Alongside the launch of our special edition magazine we are releasing a text-to-speech option which you can access via our website: http://www.sagittarius-eye.com/ With this option you’ll be able to listen to our amazing articles while you fly through space. Yes, we listened and we gave!

We hope you enjoy reading. Or listening.
Be sure to let us know what you think.
