Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals question

So I'm hunting for a peddle system to compliment my Warthog HOTAS set up to give yaw and some other assorted flight based immersion.

So my question is, how do these peddles rank amongst the others on the market? Are they good for what I am after or should I keep looking and doing some research? If anyone has used or uses these please let me know the pros and cons or if there is a better product on the market that I should be looking into.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

damn boards are busy today. Anyways I have done some research and seems this is a good set up to go with so have found a local store that stocks these and placed an order. Even so if anyone has some input would be nice to see how others enjoy rudder pedals for E:D.

I've got a set that's coming up on a decade old. I've not treated them with respect, and they're still perfectly adequate for use in ED. I think you can do a lot worse than spending a couple of hunj on something that's no rolls royce, but will last a long time with little to no maintenance. My Saitek HOTAS by comparison required removal of all soft rubber surfaces with solvent.

MFG crosswind rudder pedals come highly recommended by those that own them. I have the saitek pedals and they are a bit unsmooth. It is easy to over steer from the center position, and I find that you need to add a bit of dead zone or they drift. The saitek pedals are worth it if you are on a budget and want something fast. If you don't mind waiting and paying a bit more, then the MFG crosswind pedals are the top of the line.

Pre-ordered soem crosswinds...cos why not? They seem to be the best there is aound but will pick up Saiteks also as I have credit at the store anyways and it's nice ot have a backup incase...stuff happens, or to have a friend over and able to fly together. Thanks guys

You won't regret getting the Crosswinds. I am totally happy with mine and they are of the same build quality as the HOTAS Warthog if not better. They are also dead easy to adjust to your liking in terms of pedal angles, center detent and stiffness. I ordered mine with an extra cam profile to better replicate how the rudders on a WW2 fighter plane behaves. To be honest ED doesn't do them justice though. Fire up a prop plane in Digital Combat Simulator and you will really see why they are worth the price!
