Hardware & Technical Saitek X-45 throttle issue

First up ,apologies if this is the wrong forum...

I've had good results with my X-45 using standard windows drivers and mapping within ED. However, I wanted to use the mode and shift options so I downloaded the latest drivers and programming software from Madcatz.

Now I have a problem with the throttle. If I use Forward Only I get throttle range of about 20% of the whole range. I can fly forwards, but full throttle reaches just to the bottom of the blue "turn speed (?)" line. Reverse throttle gives about the same range.

If I look at the calibration screen, everything seems perfect with the throttle reporting the full range of movement.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Thanks in advance

I have no problems with the throttle of my X45 and using the drivers from Saitek's website. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.

Important distinction: I do only use the drivers and do not use the profiler software and mode switches.

Yes, I was fine until I tried to get fancy!

I installed the Madcatz drivers (which recognised everything just fine) from the Saitek UK site and it's all gone to pot :(

Well, just in case anyone googles for this. I gave up and did a system restore. Back to windows default drivers and everything is peachy. I'll just have to use the keyboard for extra stuff. Shame, I was hoping to program the modes as Combat, Navigation and Landing with axis tweaks and ancillary switches to suit, but I'll take a working throttle any day!

Too bad. I was thinking of using more commands in the near future myself. Wanted to get into No Assist Flying and such.

Also I wonder if there is any use of the 3-way switch AUX 1. Have not yet tried to figure it out.
