Notice Scan data bug fixed

Zac, the lack of further news on this is deafening.

When can we expect something...folks are starting to lose what few marbles they have left!

My marbles came back to me and keep trying to get into the cockpit of my DBX! (Silly marbles, I got rid of you for a reason!)

It's not even been 3 hours yet. Would you prefer him to come on once an hour and say "no news" so that people can then have a go at lack of news? We must be patient, I would rather no news until the had something worthwhile to tell us. You can just use the Dev post button to keep checking ;)

Had this happen once recently and pressed the "Windows" key and clicked on the screen to fix the issue... might work for you too...

It's a known issue with the Steam overlay that updated early this week; if you launch direct from the executable instead of via Steam you can work around it until Valve fixes the problem.

(edit - this post was about the sticky mouse cursor, not the ongoing scan data that's the main point of the thread, for clarity)

I suppose you are right.

I should be more understanding...heck I've been on the dev side of this kind of mess before. Except I'm the sucker that gets to deal with the customers. I couldn't go five minutes with getting a phone call from one of those new york mutual fund companies wondering where all their money went ....wooops

Hehe, at least I only have to worry about disgruntled teachers...

I want to make a meme picture of Alex Jones with the headline "Bilderberg Group Compromises Elite's Exploration Data Servers! What are They Trying to Hide?!" but I'm not very good at making meme pics.

I was about to write up a bug on this today; I've noticed like some of the other players that if I quit out halfway through exploring a system, when I return to the game all the previously scanned bodies are marked as unexplored and the system map is empty. I tried seeing if it updated when I jumped out of a system - my visited systems stat increments properly but the Class 2 and 3 stats remained static, so it looks like whatever process used to propagate exploration updates to the server is affected? Or do those stats only update upon uploading your data to a station? Ah well. In any event, it is - as they say - just a game, but let us know if you need help regressing, Zac.

What pic did you have in mind?

Any picture of Alex Jones is funny to me:D though sorry, I'm half asleep still and should clarify, I meant photoshop. Like with the 'breaking news' banner along the bottom and such. It's probably already been done anyway lol.

Hey guys,

Just to let you know. We're still looking into it and will have some news soon.

Don't worry I haven't left you.

Zac

All these "cry me a river" attitude (from me also) actually shows how addicted the game is.

Thanks Zac being here, I would like to spend my night with the whiskey bottles I brought in my cargo hold and some exploration around Sothis if possible!

I'm 1.5k ly away from the bubble. I guess I...

...will continue in spite of failing systems. Such is the spirit of a true explorer. Or something like that.

E:/ Praise the Zac for communication not being a by-product of imagination!
