Notice Scan data bug fixed

I do not want CQC, I have never loved and I still love him ... my game is a beautiful galaxy travel ... respect for they like, but it is not my case.

That will give solution is, but I feel that lately have forgotten the astronomical part to focus on policies and battles and I am disappointed.

Again I ask support to this thread

If you are an explorer, you must support it.

A greeting.

CQC has nothing to do with exploration issues. It was proposed that this was one of the options available to players in the meantime before the fix. If you want to argue the merits of CQC existing perhaps there's a more appropriate thread for it rather than using it as a red herring to express frustration on exploration data in this thread.

Weekend at work for the dev guys.. bummer

However that sounds like the basis of a community goal to me

"Deliver supplies to a hard working team at universal cartographics while they repair vital equipment for downloading exploration data to the central database of explored stars "

Bill

Glad to know my 70 quid I've given Fdev is being used properly

Nah, a beer or two won't hurt ... any more than that and we might have a long wait!

not a smart thing to do :D

Should I hold on selling my exploration data as well? Was just starting to head back into civilized space.

Right now I'm imagining Zac as a grand cosmic deity holding us all close to his bosom, stroking our foreheads and saying "it's all going to be okay"

Thank you very much for keeping us updated Zac.

Since I'm out in the core on my return trip from Sagittarius A, I think I'll go ahead and start heading back. It won't kill me if I lose a few of the systems I've scanned on the return trip, since right now I just want to cover distance.

I think you mean energy drinks.

I work at a (potentially rival) gaming company. I know how it goes on the weekends. I feel for the dev team. If I lived over there across the water, I'd totally offer to bring some food and drink for the day knowing how much is at stake for so many like myself (I've been exploring for 5 months straight).

Hopefully a quick question: Can I shut off the discovery scanner and keep pushing towards the other side of the galaxy without scanning anything on the way or should I not move at all?
Im 10k away towards sag A

Being a developer myself, i sympathise. Unfortunately in these cases, keeping the client happy is a priority. Hopefully (for their sake), it won't take the whole weekend to solve this issue.

Nope, it won't. Perhaps with three or four, we may even get Horizons fully finished in the next couple of days, along with the exploration patch! ;)

I'd suggest you stay put if your aim is to reach Sag A but also get some serious money from exploration. I'm currently on my way back to the bubble from Sag A and i'm not moving at all. I'd like to get the cash from exploring some systems. I know i've already lost exploration data of about 20-30 systems, i don't want to loose more.

You can always try CQC. Personally, i wasn't going to pay much attention to it, but it seems that for us explorers, it's all we can do (safely) for now.

Man, i suck at CQC!

Yup, me too! :)

This sucks. When the excrement hits the fan why must it always be in the weekend? I've scanned a ton of boring systems last few days and even some interesting ones (such as black hole with 5 neutron stars). Had a lot of time this week so spent a lot of time out there. I don't know hom you can check for lost data, but I do know I've had a fair share of force closes. :(
I am about 25k ly from home. Was planning on casually head home this weekend. Guess I can leave the computer off and go explore on my bike... ;) Or maybe even try some CQC.

On a serious note: FD should make this issue more noticeable for non-forum readers. A mention in the weekly newsletter would have been in order. Maybe put this info on login screen?

But happens and I hope the devs on duty this weekend don't forget t have some fun too.
