Scorpion SRV in VR

Shadows are pretty messed up when in VR. Even on ship, from time to time, shadows on the surface of the planet are going away. I was landing my Krait Mk2 and i noticed three little black dots in the distance, on the ground, moving forward with my ship. The dots were the shadows of the three seats of the krait. The shadow of the entire ship was not there, only the three seats. I have all settings on high or ultra, except spot lighting set on medium (otherwise shadows move with your head and it's horrible).I think (but i may be well wrong) that culling or another LOD cutting system becomes too aggressive in VR (because of the doubled work the engine has to do) and it starts cutting things that should not be cut away. Never played in normal 2d screen so i don't know if the issue is present outside VR, but since are primarily VR users reporting this issue, i think it's VR specific.

I think it’s much more noticeable in VR, like many other small things that are probably missed on a monitor with a fixed forward view. I’ve definitely seen it happening in flatscreen player’s videos - you can see cockpit shadows flashing when they’re in Glide mode. To the flatscreen player it only looks like the occasional brightness change on the visible cockpit struts, so not much of an issue. They don’t get the full effect like we do 😅

Did anyone ever figure out a way to have the turret (in turret view mode) track with headset so you aim where you look?

There was a post on this relating to the Scarab back 2016 but felt this was less of a necro
