Close encounter of a binary pair. Jumped out of hyperspace in the middle of the pair. Good thing I did full stop and didn't move. The temp was below tolerance so I increase speed to escape. Good thing it was just a M-class star and a L-class brown dwarf. If it was bigger, it would be hairy.

Another couple more to share. Luckily I jumped in to the star on the right. Never seen a lava world like that before. Really big rings on that water planet, and my target destination directly behind.

I have to show my noobieness and ask: how do you guys get all the hud, target circles and cockpit out of the shot?

CTRL+ALT+G hides hud. As for target lock... left panel, unlock target. Will not work in supercruise, so you have to go "impulse" power to do this.
As for ships, don't look directly on them, as the CTRL+ALT+G don't hide the "target" marker on them unfortunately.

The sea of rocks.

I found an unusually large ring around a small planet very far out from a star. It wasn't very bright, and from the angle where I was, it was blocking my getting to the plane of the ecliptic so I had to jump out to another star then back and cruise back out to get this shot.

Couple wide shots that I stitched together.

Cool 'leathery' planet and sun

And an entire shot of the galaxy from a decent amount above the galactic plane about 3500 LYs from Sol.

I see. I tried the same myself some time ago, the result went bad... didn't get the edges right. Guess I better be freshing up my editing skills ;)

I find there's little point trying to take unobstructed shots in the Asp, so i tend to make the canopy framing part of the composition these days...
