Is it possible you are looking at the side that was dark at the moment of your last visit?

No, I remember these planets very well. There was two almost identical green earth like planets and now they completely under water.

Man if stuff like seasonal flooding is actually already modelled and functional, then i am really impressed... Although, just as a precaution i would submit this to support so that devs can investigate it... Seems too drastic a change to be caused by seasons. Unless all the continents are pretty much one big plain (with some hills) and the water level during the flood is couple of meters.

EDIT: Hang on, was it classified as Water Worlds during your first visit? Cause i myself have discovered Water Worlds that, at the time, actually had continents and greenery, but were classified as WW anyway..

EDIT 2: And why is there no data for temperature and atmosphere?

It was discovered during gamma 1, and as i remember it was not water world in the description. Perhaps "stellar forge" has been modified at release of ED.

And it seems there was no atmosphere neither before nor after. It also seemed to me strange then.

Now that i think about it, that is a red giant... Meaning the star is nearing the end of its life and so is headed for supernova... It is expanding, although on cosmic scale it would not be observable... A drastic temperature shift though and no wonder the world is now under water.... Perhaps in a couple of more months it will be just HMC planet with all its water in the atmosphere... And later... well... supernova...

Frontier changed water worlds completley that's the reason they're so different.
Water world used to mean a world with water that didn't support earth-like enviorment and/or life, but was edited to mean a world covered in water with maybe a little earth-like life on few islands.

Amazing!! Where is it taken ?

Thanks. A random black hole i encountered. This can be done with any black hole really. Ever since FD changed them to be basically big harmless magnifying glasses you can get as close to them as you want. Even fly through them...
