hello there

not played for some time have a few ships looking a group to join now there a new update coming i am from england where are u guys from what sort of times/zones do u play in the week ?

We're from all over the place (and as explorers can be spread all across the galaxy).

I'm also from England, but I'm not currently in SEPP space. I normally play around midnight and there are often a couple of SEPP players online when I start playing, with another few who play later, we've got a few Pacific time zone players.

We've had another tick, so I've updated the BGS tracker.
Summary:
ELEU +1.8% (good)
SJL -0.8% (good)
ALW +1.5% (good)
MCT -0.3% (not good) although POME have gone into Boom Recovery. I'm not sure that smuggling goods into the Black Market here is having the desired effect.

Well, I'm baffled by the results in Mechet. Running those missions should have been more than enough to make us go up. I'm not sure exactly what went wrong. Did anyone let a mission fail? Specially the mining missions, someone reported that they are bugged in a way that failing them hurts you more than it should.

As per the smuggling of probibited commodities: I took slaves, narcotics and weapons. Gut rumble brought explosives. Now, all of these based on tactica and comments in the forums, that bringing those will promote civil unrest -specially the explosives and the weapons.

Turned out that the explosives were not illicit. And I sold the rest with no problem. However, I did noticed in the Black Market, that theNarcotics had demand! I've never seen a demand figure in the black market before. Suggests that the load satisfied that demand, and in a good measure cause it was close to the load I brought.

With that being said, there is a remote probability that this coverage for that demand, helped the PoM. But the question remains on why did we lose influence after running so many missions?

I have been taking notes on the specifics results for all the missions I've taken these past few days.

It seems that most of missions, help to create or promote BOOM state. All of them but the following three:

- Smuggling stuff into another station/system

-Bounty hunting (pirate hunting) in nearby system.

-Transportation missions: the ones where you Have to take tons and haul them somewhere. Data courier are another type of mission and those do affect out the economic boom.

I did about a dozen missions yesterday, mostly combat, all offering high or medium influence gains.

It does seem odd. I don't think there is any other player activity in the area. I would guess that some of the missions / activities are not giving the influence change we expected.

There are several well-known trade routes in our area, which get hammered from time to time by other players. You can deduce this from the number of trade ships in the traffic reports, and the changing prices of the
goods in question.

I doubt there are other players running missions though.

And I can't help but wonder, how long the minor civil war in Mechet will run, if we don't step in and pick a side and fight for them.

Well, Santjalan has some good routes (and I've seen players there) and Eleu has the rare good. But I don't think I've seen large numbers in Mechet. I'm there right now and there are 7 ships in the traffic report. One is me.

Did the tick happen today already? How does it look? Wont know for three more hours.

I really don't know what to say about the downturn. It probably is a mining mission gone late that someone forgot hurting us. Or someone accidentally ran missions for PoM.

Agreed with the war in Mechet... is like a mini-Vietnam...I don't know what those NPC are about..fighting over a mall in one of the stations? I mean, is not like they'll win prime state in Mechet. lol.

General strategy for this week:

ELU: We hold or we nudge it ever so slightly, by running 1 or 2 missions for EEC. We want to match them to bring on the fight. So be careful with it, we only need 5% reduction.

SJL: we run one or two missions a day just to keep it at a healthy 85%.

AWS: definitely needs help...in here we are not going for the outpost but for the system altogether and for that we need 65-70% influence at least! We are at 38%....long way to go.

MCT: we just need a push of 3% to bring us to 46 and them down to 47% and then we hold it there.

/Kancro out

EDIT: One more thing!! Very important!!! The BOOM state is gone for PoM in MCT!! That means that the smuggling probably DID something to their economy! They were supposed to stay in BOOM for days to not end...As how can you go out of BOOM and yet go up in influence, is still a mystery but there is hope that that's what broke the BOOM state. Now is the time to go and note the prices again, as they should be back to normal, meaning they might be buying stuff high again...

I've been concentrating on AWS. Doing all the trade & data delivery missions for SEPP. Then dumping performance enhancers on their market, 80 ton at a time, for some tidy pocket change. Starting to get some very angry NPC's taking exception to what I'm doing.

Another tick, another BGS update.
Mechet is good, with a delta of 1%.
Everything else is going in the wrong direction.

LOL... I love your news updates! LOL..certainly the gist of it all... LOl..

Ok....

WHO IS RUNNING MISSIONS FOR ELEU?!! PLEASE STOP!!!!

As per MCT...we should might just go ahead for the 70% and get a shot to control the system. At that point we'll get Robson anyways. PUSH PUSH PUSH!

AWS needs one or two dedicated players to run missions daily.

Again guys, what you think if we divide the systems among ourselves instead of everybody trying to do everything? Let's run this like the EU or the USA a little bit? Of course we all contribute to the problems of your assigned system but at least someone is is also making sure if noone else tends to the system at least the Governor - or Marshall of that system will, advising what to do, feeding into the economy and influence spreadsheet and what missions?

Yay, nay, bad idea? I'm just afraid of making it sound like a responsibility and not like a game. As long as you enjoy it and take it for you, then fine. I do enjoy it, but can't hold them all on my shoulders..

Other solution is that we just focus on one system at the time... all of us.. only one goal, one system... then we move to the next to keep it all together...

As I posted before, I'm working Alowis. Running trade and data missions, then dumping goods to consume their cash.
I did notice last I was there, only missions available were combat missions. Most of these I can't do because of my mostly harmless rank. Reluctant to take on those it will let me, as will do more harm than good if I stuff it up; which is the more likely outcome at this point.

So I'll keep doing what I'm doing in Alowis. If the missions dry up, I'll move to Mechet and continue there.

Yesterday I ran SEPP missions from MCT to anywhere and also one pirate kill mission from Watha to Louguala. I have left Eleu missions alone as it seems sensitive. Tonight I will concentrate on AWS and if nothing on offer can fill in some time trading away from any sensitive areas for us. Another problem yesterday for me, 3 heavy CTD and only way out was to stop ED thru task manager. Even when ingame I was unable to communicate with the 2 SEPP Cndrs also in the area. About to log in now so heres hoping for a smooth operation.

Been a little distracted with rl lately but am back now , AWS will now get my FULL attention , and no ,I have done no missions in Eleu either , I dumped all my exploring data in SJL thought that was safest bet as I didn't know what the plans were on my return. i'll do those combat missions that Adept talked about , if my Asp cant do it ,I have another ship that can ;)

Ok, fair enough. This is what we do then:

Gut Rumble and Adept: Take care of AWS. You guys run with it. Please update the BGS Sheet with the traffic, influence, current, pending and recovery states for each faction, daily. Or, at least post in here the traffic, and the pending and recovery -which are the metrics I can't get without going to AWS myself-and I'll update the data. Our objective is to reach 65-70% to challenge the controlling faction into Civil War.

Everyone else: We focus on Mechet. I was hoping to match their number but makes no sense. Let's go for the system control instead. Same as in AWS but with way more weight, as Mechet is now the biggest system in the Nation after Eleu. Its population makes weight for our attempts to overturn it so we need more focus there. I forgot to check pending states for MCT last night...can someone report if WAR showed up there??

ElU and SJL: let them sit for a couple of ticks. We also want a CW against the EEC. SJL is doing more than good. Give it a break.

There is no war yet for SEPP in Mechet, not even pending. SEPP has a boom and recovering expansion.

But there is still a civil war raging between the New Mechet Law Party (3.3%) and Mechet Fortune Co (1.9%.) Perhaps this could block other wars in the same system? It might be worth weighing in on the side of NMLP to get it over with.

Ok Kancro will do....O7:cool:
.
Just got off , will be back in a few hours , I did 3 missions while on :
1, trade data to Purungarang
2, killed 9 pirates there too
3 Dilivered 5 Copper to Kaus Borealis ,a fed station 55.47ly away
.
I've now outfitted my Asp for combat AND mining ,can hold 64tonnes so that should do.:D
.
And too Adept....If I'm parked at the station ,just shout and I'll move. horrible just have the 1 med pad :(

Thanks for the update. If it didn't trigger with those numbers, then be it: FULL THROTTLE TO THE 70% FOR THE CONTROL OF THE SYSTEM.

That minor war looks more like the Trojan War at this point. Is been going on forever. I know, I am watching it too. But quite honestly doesn't do anything good or bad for us anyways: yes, you can have more than one war in the same system. We had that scenario in Eleu not long ago.

Gut rumble: right on cmdr!! keep it on!! 07

Is there any benefit to selling my data in a SEPP-controlled system or does only doing PP stuff help? I still have a ton of data leftover from grabbing permits.
