Horizons Serious issues with Horizons game mechanics.

Not sure what the issue actually is.

You've had 1,000 hours play AND you're including optional hardware costs as if Frontier are responsible for your buying choices. Buyer's remorse is not a bug in the game. You do know you can buy a joystick that'll work just fine for £30/$40 assuming you cannot bear to use keyboard/mouse? Top end HOTAS purchases are down to the individual, not a mandatory requirement for Elite.

I built a new PC in April, (£800) should I add that to the "cost of the game" and my Oculus DK2 (£250) maybe? Or the headphones I got for Christmas (£99) too? I don't think that's a fair or rational argument. What you choose to spend money on to accessorise your PC is down to you.

Could you state what the actual issues you have with the game are, then there's a chance someone can help.

Would just like to find a way to tell Frontiers what I think about their game. I obviously like it or would not have such a large investment of time and money in it. Care enough about it that I would like to suggest ways to make it more enjoyable.

Many before you have had many suggestions on how to improve this game. All of them because they really like it, and want it to be more than it is.
Almost all those posts are shot down by the fanboys. "You dont show enough respect towards the devs". "Make your own game if you dont like it".
I can go on with those quotes.
It's like suggesting to add something to the bible.
The fact that many of these ideas would benefit the game seems to go over their heads.

I'd really like to help the OP, I am trying to paragraphise his wall of text so I can find out his specific complaints. The main one seems to be Horizons isn't intuitive and it should not be up to players to scour the internet for player guides? The point has some validity. EDH does not really got for the "Do you want us to keep showing tooltips?" approach to learning curves.

There were posts about it early on after the release of the game. The posts were deleted and the users making them banned.
I know how easy it it is to make more than one account on this forum. It doesn't even check the IP of the computer making posts...
I even tried how hard it is to get caught. Unless you keep two browsers open at once making posts to two diffrent accounts at the same time you'll get away with it.

Hey All, it is me again. While I tend to agree with the above views I must admit that my earlier posting comes across much more like whining and complaining. Next time I will wait until I cool down before I type. Seems like I hit some open wounds around here. I will attempt to be more succinct in future. I am glad someone else agrees with me about a more detailed rule book, I had hopes that maybe I had missed it. I am not up on the social rules governing internet chat or the meaning of the abbreviations and symbols used. I thank you all for your input and any game advice, tips, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I have been alone in this galaxy for a year now it is time to ask for assistance as I am obviously missing some important aspects of the game. Is there a 'befuddled" icon?

Were I a Frontier developer partaking in discussion there's absolutely no way I'd post under my Frontier account here - no chance. And it's not because I'd be trying to be underhand about anything. It's because by doing so people would perceive it as me representing the company in some way, every single word I spoke would be gone over with a fine toothcomb with the company being held account for every little thing I said, despite me not posting in an official capacity.

If developers are posting here under normal accounts I think I'd honestly welcome it, these are the posters you'll get actual informed discussion from, rather than ill-informed ranting, as we seem to have been seeing a lot of recently (not necessarily referring to OP's post as ill-informed, I have not been able/willing to read it due to the lack of paragraphs).

Sadly you failed to understand the part about "well thought out and logical" You see, if you say " I am into this game above 1000 hours...", and then say "for all but the oldest most experienced players who already have all the money, rank, and large, expensive ships and do not seem to realize that us beginners need a way to earn a million credits an hour.", no one will, or should listen to you.

Then you go on and say "Take some responsibility, DO THE WORK and publish a DETAILED book of operating instructions. More than ten pages." I really got nothing for you.

I think you might be over reacting here. First, don't think for a minute that all folks making FD supporting replies to negative ED game posts are "Fan boys". That's drawing conclusions without all the information. Fact is, I actually agree with many of the points made about "problems" with ED. POI functionality, SCB, SRV drive mechanics, and so on. But here's my issue, and it goes back to the OP. If you're gonna make a critical post, at least put some effort into thinking through your criticism. There have been many well stated threads about "problems" with ED. If someone doesn't have the time, or is not willing to put the effort into their discussion, they deserve no quarter, and will get none here, or any where else on the internet.

Your reply here is a good example of this. While your concerns may be valid about clandestine forum lurking by FD dev's, it is totally irrelevant to "problems" with ED, because EVERY online ANYTHING that has a place for posting Critics does it! Even Amazon got popped posting fake reviews. It's called the internet, perhaps you've heard of it.
