Server Issues?

I know people have suggested router settings and port forwarding etc...however it's not something I'm happy messing around with, my internet works fine, this is not the only multiplayer / server based game I play yet it is the only game that disconnects me on a regular basis. Also...the game should work 'out of the box' and not require me to mess around with router setting just to get it to work...that does not constitute 'quiet satisfaction' of the product I bought.

Reading the support forums and threads like this leads me to believe it's an FD issue and fairly widespread...but if someone can fire a silver bullet at my rig and cure the problem I'd be happy with that. ;)

Good to have this thread so i wont try to load elite and play something else for now. Thanks for the info guys. If i log in later and have problem i will also report here.

Finding it a little tiresome truth be told. There are connection issues for me every single day around 5pm onwards. Late evenings or day time weekend seem fine. Although yesterday / night was trouble free. 100% when I have issues in Solo switching to Open pretty much solves the problem instantly. These are facts.

I had lock ups frequently a day ago but last night I played about an hour or two and had no problems. This morning I can't Start ED. Its trying to connect but doesn't ... with a failcount=0 ... or something like that which is a bit funny

Well, the server, gasping under the load of 3 or 4 players told your client 'don't even try...'. Therefor no try, no fail [big grin]

I cannot even travel in system, entering FSD -> connection loss. I have had it, to be serious. This is my first game which can only played with permanent connection and needs a server. And probably the last. I played countless games, have a lot still installed, and I think I have learned my lesson. Always depend on your own equipment, where possible. But AFAIK it should be possible to have load scaling servers, or not?

Fly save, if you can...

Yeah, pointless trying, keep getting disconnected whenever you want to do any meaningful action in game. This has been going on for more or less three weeks, on and off, has Frontier abandoned the game?

Yes they definitely have lots of people have said so repeatedly since 2014.

You all need to call your ISP, because there is nothing wrong with Frontier's servers. Maybe the Polar Vortex has frozen your local DSL junction box. I also hear hungry raccoons can disrupt a user's Internet. The Polar Vortex may have frozen all the coon's food, forcing them to eat the warm wires in those junction boxes. Stop blaming Frontier for what is obviously the result of climate change!

Thought I’d grab a couple of hours.. obviously not. Can connect no issues, go to SC and immediately unresponsive waiting for timeout. What a joke.

I managed to log in, but it crashed out in the middle of my first hyperspace jump. Now I can't log in at all.


Off to play something else, LOL.
