Oh good. Just take a high credit transport mission and now cant get into the server. So, that'll be a nice fine the next time I play. :rolleyes:
 
I am sure this game will be quite ready feature-wise for launch this year, but on the netcode side? Not so sure anymore. Too many "one step forward, two steps back" lately. :(

They nailed netcode for SB1, so they have clear fallback plan. It's really hard to say about dev's success or failure with blackbox approach we have. They have code to poke at, they know how far they are from stability.

I think those connectivity issues are related to the game.

I tried to start my game from yesterday in Wyrd, can´t load at all. The netlog says: awaited Spacestation in other position.

Had to clear save, the game started again. But when i use sc to fly to Azeban City i get the warptunnel of doom. Netlog says: {13:39:13}

My first try with 2.05 on friday evening 10/10 CET was really promising: very fast load time & very short delay entering/exiting SC. (open play)

On saturday morning (until now 14.36 CET), hard to get past spinning sidewinder or sometimes can't connect at all (eg authentication server). The short time I was ingame the station was invisible. (switched to solo briefly and station was invisible there as well - ticket logged)

Whilst writing this post (sat 14.40 CET) I could connect to open and the station is in front of me.

EDIT: 14.43 station seems to be jumping around - first time ever I see this myself (premium beta tester).
EDIT: 14.44 crash.

Guessing this is server side issue, since yesterday I was really impressed with 2.05 optimizations. Would be nice if Frontier could confirm.

Late night, when normal people sleep

AT 2.30am, when most normal people are in bed, the game runs fine. So I also think it is code talking to the server and lag resulting from this, maybe ED needs to update the servers sooner to increase capacity.

The difference in game play over the day is really noticeable.

I would not say they nailed it, lagging into and out of SC which they had got rid of in PB, disappearing stations etc all due to crappy P2P which is still not Geographically localised.

Switch to Online Solo and get smooth fluid operation.
 
It's definitely all a little unstable at present...

Today, first time I tried, start was red and I couldn't play.

Exited and tried again and it was fine. No wait at the spinning s/w. BB took forever to load and uni cart is broken.

Selected a few missions, everything fine until i got to the other end, and then i couldn't get a reply to my docking requests. I tried endless times. Waited so long that two missions timed out, which i meant i lost the reward on those. I then got scanned and got fined for illegal goods, so double penalty because i could not dock. Not funny.

Gave up, logged out and logged in again. Docking request worked first time.

Whilst i am typing this, left myself docked, and just got a CTD.

Oh dear... :-(
 
Please read your net.log file after any crash, sometimes you can see when and why it disconnected.

I've started getting excessively long waits when changing ships. It had been going "Stand by" for the past 5 minutes. But when I kill the game process and log back in, i'm in the ship I just purchased.

P2P is geographically localized if you play open play, and disappearing stations weren't a thing in SB1, because they worked on island health measurements and didn't allow to join bad sessions.
 
New saitek cyborg x flight stick

Hello everybody hope you are all enjoying elite dangerous!
I'm going to ticket the problem when I have a bit of a feed back from this forum.

I have just bought a new Saitex cyborg X Flight stick & I'm get quite a few bugs with it & see if anybody having the same problems with this joystick.
The problems I'm getting are as followed
When taking off it goes straight to full speed without me touching anything, going into a spin at takeoff,just freezing & wont move.
When i'm in space again when coming out of hyperspace again it goes into a free spin without me touching anything.

I never had this issue with mouse & keyboard.

Could this be the way its set up or the game itself.
Please give me any feedback before I log a new ticket

Downside is, that the serverside fix brought back those issues, which patch 2.05 fixed. I am now back with an initial loadtime of 3-6 mins...:(

And I've had a couple of those CTD's, that not started the automatic bug-sender. So pretty much all the cool fixes from latest patch, have been reversed for me...
 
Impossible to test

getting incredibly unreliable server issues, added mtu line to config file which fixed the BB loading but keep getting kicked out and cannot accept missions

Is there a lot of server activity i.e. updates from the Elite team??

If not, and I know it's not officially released game so server downtime will clearly be more serious, but I'm a beta tester not being able to test !! :rolleyes:
