I am still trying to find my place in the Elite universe I tend to jump around betweeen cargo hauling, bounty hunting, and exploring. Is a T6 a ggod choice for that kind of game play?

I have about 3 mil saved up currently...

If you want to do combat as well for bounty hunting, a Cobra might be a better choice with some upgrades. T6 will fit the bill for 2 out of 3 of your requests, but it's useless in combat.

For a while I was using a T6 and a Vulture and I switched between the two depending on what I was doing.

Edit: In a Cobra, for trading I would recommend doing rare runs with an upgraded Frame shift drive.

Definitely Cobra after the Adder, if you want to do a bit of everything.
Plus its the fastest hunk of junk in the Galaxy, so if pirates do coming calling you can outrun and taunt them at the same time ;)

+1 to the Cobra. Does everything reasonably well and way cheaper than an Asp to kit reasonably! With A class thrusters it's very quick and chuckable too.

21 and the key to Hutton Orbital.

Well I am just past 2000 tonnes delivered. Not much compared to many of you out there but that was 20 runs in a T6. Now on my 21st run.

I bought a hull reinforcement package for the T6 to test how much it might save on repair bills for wear & tear. Usually its around the 6k mark without it. I will post my findings on the difference when I reach Hutton later. :)

Good work. :)

About the hull reinforcement package, it might actually increase your w&t repair bill, and your hull integrity still be at 0% when you arrive...

Well if that is the case Zieman then it isn't working correctly and will be ticketed. Anyone taking long trip through normal space (explorers especially) could make use of something like this if it actually helps reduce wear & tear, otherwise whats the point of it, which is what I intend to find out. Anyways less than 20 minutes out so I will find out shortly. :)

Some images of the 20:30 convoy arrival at Hutton last night - it was good fun! There must of been about 15 CMDRs in the instance:)

Man, Haulers must be fragile beasts. I'm making run after run w/ my Asp and having 0 hull damage. Either that, or I'm just used to Exporation vessels that can go a very long way without any real damage...

Ok, successfully reached Hutton with that 21st load and here are the results of my experiment with the Hull Reinforcement Package. Zieman was pretty much spot on. It made no appreciable difference to the repair bill. As you can see below it still cost 6k to fix up the ship. Had it made a difference it could have helped alot of Python & Anaconda owners out there making the Hutton run by saving them on big repair bills. But no. I guess it just makes the ship more resistant to battle damage, wear & tear remain constant.

It is not hull damage it is integrity - look next to the repairs tab in the post below. When it reaches 0 your hull is apparently only about 2/3 as resistant to gun fire, other than that it has no effect.

Calculations by a guy on Facebook estimated that we would hit the final tier if every contributor made 4 more runs - doesn't make it sound so far out of reach.

Hmm...may have to check my Asp's integrity then, might be getting a bit thin (although its probably been fixed already, since I had a derp moment and crashed into a star trying to get used to M&K controls again after 2 months of buzzing around w/ my stick...oops).

And yeah, its doable. Although I don't think I'll be able to do more than 1 more run myself :( Plus, scrap is getting hard to find in nearby systems!

I admire your optimism - but when you say it like that it sounds tantalisingly doable! :D

That's a WRAP for the morning news and chatter.

OK - Convoy at 6.30pm and we have some special content for you all - a behind the scenes recording from within the docking bay!

I've been away the last few days but I'll be back doing at least 2 runs this evening for what it's worth. Come on guys we can do it!!

If you've done 15 runs already then that might seem doable but if, like me, you've just completed your 6th run (or less) then doing 4 more runs seems pretty unlikely. I'm curious what the average number of runs is. Might try to work that out.
