Set condition Mauve... The Hutton Mug CG looks like it is live....

On my way in with load 24. I plan on two more runs after that and then I must get to bed since it's a work nite. My goal is 26 runs at 272T per for a total of 7072T.

Someone asked a few pages ago how folks do so many runs? Well I was doing 2 runs an evening last Fri-Sun but then on my days off (Mon-Tue) I slept in a little and got started around 4am both days. I got 9 runs in on Sun but rainy weather on Mon hampered me a bit (satellite internet goes out just like DirecTV) so I could only get in 8 runs that day. I just start the run and once I get past 300c and the interdiction threat disappears I just set a 1hr-ish timer and go do other stuff, only to return for the final 10-15 minutes of the run plus queueing.

BTW, I believe that CODE is still at Hutton as of this posting. A Vulture slightly ahead of me gave me salute and asked if I was CODE. I did not respond. I am interested to see the comm chatter when I get closer in (still at .11Ly out).

Stay safe Commanders!

We made it in alright, flight was completely quiet, just had some NPC police flying around. The station was pretty quiet, some other players offloading. I'll just leave my Cobra at the Hangar at Hutton, so I'm first in line to pick my Mug up after breakfast. :)

AAAND That's a wrap for tonight. Keep it going, guys. We're handing over to the night shift in a couple of hours - at 1am UK time the proper tunes start on my show - tune in if you want.

Record listenership this evening between the youtube and the radio station.

Thank you so much to everyone who is making this such a success and we're glad you're enjoying it so much.

Hopefully I'll see some familiar names tomorrow at Hutton in a queue for an allocation of 45 mugs!!

Made it to Hutton, took off after the CODE, promptly got my ship rammed by CMDR ******. Back to Wolf 424. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. Enjoy all.

Glad you enjoyed it. For what it's worth, I have done about 15 runs I think and although I've seen many other commanders around, I haven't been interdicted once, so I think there is an element of good or bad fortune involved. I did see a CODE member pad blocking and I see shooting in the distance when I was in a T6 at one point, but never died (yet).

Almost there...

I have to lie a lot.
.
Wife: What are you doing up there?
Me: Working.
Wife: It sounds like that game.
Me: Just soothing background music and noise.
.
To be fair you can point at Hutton and then check in every now and then.
I have overshot a few times when I've miscalculated the time when I've been doing jobs around the house.
.
I'm about to finish my 26th run in my T6 with 92 tonnes, not as much in total delivered as some people but good enough.
.

Lie is kinda black & white, though I have certainly stretched the truth a little over the last week!

Unfortunately the wife has insomnia so I can't avoid "are you not tired after playing "your game" until 4am and only getting 4 hours sleep for the last week, "no I am fine darling, honest (stifle yawn)".

I postponed my weekly parent visit until tomorrow to go mad tonight, unfortunately I could not dodge the "fancy a quick beer, I could do with a hand closing this deal" text from the MD at 5pm, I don't think "NO I have to haul scrap to Hutton" would go down too well.

OK I dropped, collected and am on my way again, I now have 90 mins to fix the wifes phone, she was not overly impressed when I explained I needed 20- mins to dock, sell, screen shot, jump & get scrap then go again first lol.

awesome Event Guys THanks for taking part with us,.

Thanks to you guys, for organizing all this! This CG is amazing!
Tonight was my first convoy, did the previous 17 runs in open on my own. 2 battlecondas and an armed tradepython (mine :) ) took an unshielded T6 'under our wings', arrived safely and unloaded in peace. Then we guarded the station, while the code (which I'm not giving the honour of capital lettering!) tried to lure us out out of the no fire zone. Quite cowardly, I must say. I was deeply disappointed by their 'pirateness'. Got killed twice while trying to lure them closer. That was fun! Especially seeing some 'pirates' fleeing. As I had no PvP loadout, they could flee with hull damage. And me with a respawn at Hutton Orbital :).

Will we have a party at HO tomorrow night? Can somebody bring beer?

TL;DR: we achieved our objectives so we won, the code failed - and we had fun!

CMDR The Tick out (for tonight)

Well I just had the best result for this CG. I have made what will most likely be my last run before the end of this amazing CG.

I have found it to be costly with insurance claims (some of which was in my attempted defence of hutton orbital) and it will take a little while to recover that but what an experience flying with you Cmdr's. :)

It has also been amazing seeing such generosity in giving scrap. Major thanks to those Cmdr's protecting us out there.

All week though, I have really wanted to make the instance with the livesteam and appear on it (just in passing) and on this last run it happened!

Cmdr in the camera ship even kindly flew around me after I showed my excitement, Hee hee.

So glad I joined in, thank you all for just being such nice people. o7

(simple things...)

On my way for my first drop now, 84t in the hold, (sorry I'm late everyone....but better late than never eh!?) I've got my foot to the floor......at what distance should I think about dropping my speed so I don't overshoot the station? Currently about 2m ls away.

Well, the way I do it is like this: I approach the station at 100% until I'm 10 seconds from it. Then, I start reducing my speed progressively and maintain a speed that will let me reach the station in 6 seconds. If you go too fast and it goes below 6 seconds, you will likely overshoot in super cruise, unless you're really close (like less than 5M miles). I have a key on my keyboard mapped to forward 50% throttle. When I hit this, I get down to 9 seconds. Pressing the throttle up 2 times will bring me at 7 seconds.
