Set condition Mauve... The Hutton Mug CG looks like it is live....

Bad luck Teldja - we will drink to your memory and console ourselves that your fine sacrifice allowed others to make it through. If you took any photo of your journey or death, send them in to the CG so you can be memorialised. If you have time to try again before 10am UK time tomorrow, all the better :)

Well, thank you.
I like to think that when they were targeting me they were not targeting a real trader.
I have a video but not a glorious one. Not my smartest move that for sure.
Never surrender to a so called "Pirate", ignore them or fight them.

Uploading it but it will take some time.

There is a competition to win mugs and stickers if you send in your screenshot of your CG contribution. However, I will lobby the organisers for commanders who lost their ship on their only run to be included so you might want to send a link to your video in to the Hutton Orbital contacat email.

I'll share the link tomorrow, uploading during the night.
Now it is time to join the wife and to sleep ! (Hey what did you expect ! ;) )

Just finished my last trip before the end of the CG: Trip #18. Formed an ad-hoc wing in-flight towards Hutton which certainly helped to pass the time - o7 Commanders!

Ok, so i am finished for tonight, i only started today, but i made a few trips in my Anaconda, 400t a time dropped, then switched to my Asp and delivered a few trips, i ended up with this result, nice flying with you guys, and special thanks to my wingman Taylor Vauban. Glad i could help out.

Tonight I completed my 9th and 10th runs. 1003 tons of scrap delivered, 2.2ly travelled in SC. This has been a brilliant experience. I was wondering a few weeks ago what I could do to liven up my ED experience. This was it!

A big thank you to the organisers of the CG and to the brave souls who defended, often at great cost to themselves, Hutton Orbital and the CMDRs making the long lonely delivery run.

And a big shout out to Hutton Orbital Radio. Amazing stuff guys. I bet if you had to make a list a year ago of the things Elite Dangerous would bring into being, a radio station wouldn't be one of them.

I won't be able to make another run before the CG ends, but I'll never forget this.

CMDR Horace Hussein Bury signing off.

Here, here to that...I agree with CMDR Bury above...did 1 run only to Hutton but it's brought the game alive for me too. What an experience, just finding some scrap and then the long journey to the outpost...just as I thought I had made it through I saw warnings about the blockade and to leave immediately. No, I somehow made it through (after nearly totaling my Hauler on the pad as I made a complete hash of landing) and offered up my small token of scrap to the greater effort. So pleased with myself leaving Hutton with a cargo load of rare goods to boot....thoughts of a healthy profit quite literally ended in smoke as an agent of Felicia Winters dispatched me and my Hauler just 10 jumps into another adventure! Phew, this is what makes this game special.

Agree with above - brought game alive. In a wing earlier and felt the tension ratchet up on final approach.
Made my last delivery - now trying to goad the code blockaders and distract them from incoming Cmdrs. Best I can do in a stripped down weaponless Asp.
Not sure if I helped anyone but fun all the same.

AAAND That's a wrap for tonight. Keep it going, guys. We're handing over to the night shift in a couple of hours - at 1am UK time the proper tunes start on my show - tune in if you want.

Record listenership this evening between the youtube and the radio station.

Thank you so much to everyone who is making this such a success and we're glad you're enjoying it so much.

I think I spent more time doing this CG than working this last week and I do 45 hours+ normally, I look more tired than my Python right now!

Thanks to all the people behind it, I will not be doing another CG for a while though lol.

1.26 out on run 22 and still thinking about run 23, it might be one to many, although I guess I need to go back to collect the reward? (Mmm I will take scrap just in case I don't get interdicted by the wife at 02.45, I might make it)

Well there you have it.. my gut feeling told me to do one last run to Hutton but I refused and instead went out for some PP and trading.
...And I have seen the rebuy screen 3 times tonight since making that decision (ok, one time was a really weird bug where my ship just decided to play pinball inside a station, so I'm gonna ticket that one)
Always, always listen to your gut feeling!

I probably would have had more fun doing another Hutton run too in hindsight.. Ah well. Thanks for the great experience anyways to you all. Had a lot of fun trafficking back and forth, listening to Hutton Radio and meeting people during the event.
I even enjoyed queueing.. how bout them apples?

Call me crazy but I did a second attempt.
Two others Cmdrs where behind me in their T6.
I played as the bait.
A wing of 3 interdicted me. I managed to survive but had to jump out of the system.
I hope the traders made it.

I think that is where my small "contribution" Ends for tonight.

Really need to go to sleep now !

NOOOOOO. went ask to sort Hutton Radio stuff and was killed at Hutton by a pirate.

30t of mugs to whoever takes him down...

RIGHT! lets sort this sheet out :D PM me his name and if when I hunt him down meet him, I will send you his dogtags in a gift wrapped Hutton Mug :D:p.

Yeah I would spend some time in open to hunt that one, well for 30 Mugs who wouldn't, I spent the last week working my butt off for 30 Mugs!, Oh those fantastic Mugs.

PS

Hutton? scrap? really? you guys must have been really drunk at Lavecon to actually choose this as a CG. Great job all :D I am really considering the next Lavecon now, you are absolutely crazy and I am 1 trip behind you.

ETA 21 mins out again

I'd be very interested in buying the mug too!

And great work, commander! Rep to you!

Thanks, I understand they can only hand out so many as free prizes and that's cool, but after putting so much in to this (my first and only CG and I have been here 14 months) I would like to buy the Mug if possible.

I would guess its not too much trouble to get another hundred or thousand made when you have the prototype, although the ordering / verification of CG deliverys would take time.

12 mins out, gonna run 1 more and hope our CMDR's in the USA can top it off, even if not, its been great fun, a lot of good people in this thread and on this goal, GJ all!

Signing off, having delivered my 16th and final load. Wish I could have contributed more, alas I need sleep.

I've only been playing ED for 5 weeks or so. This has been my first cg and my first time in open play, ive thoroughly enjoyed the sense of community, and the ridiculousness of it all. Met some wonderful nutters along the way!

Looking forward to the next lunatic idea we get for a community goal!

Thanks to all that took the time to organise this cg and everything that went along with it (Hutton Orbital radio/Facebook group etc), it's been a blast!

MUGS FOR EVERYONE!
