I'd be very interested in buying the mug too!

And great work, commander! Rep to you!

Me too

(8chars)

OK that's 3 of us I think the forum rules allow us to refer to that as a large majority (vs 0 against), now we are allowed to DEMAND a Mug :D, even if we were never promised one ;):p:D

OK, Fair enough, lets ask the Mug prize suppliers if it might, pretty please be possible to buy one please and thank you ;).

PS 140k ls out on run 22, I delivered > 5k, am I really top 5% ? 10 million ? what are "global awards" sorry first CG.

Looks like I covered wear & tear.

Logging back in at 8 PM eastern us time for another run from Al-Din. Let's hope the server don't drop me again.

...and no such luck. Server disconnected me. Reconnected at 2,000,000 ls out (about the usual place). Watching the Twitch feed right now (about 20 min out), quite a battle going on.

Hutton Mug two trips to go.jpg

Looks like I'm gonna make my goal of over 9000 scrap delivered. Got to head to uni now but will be back in time to finish two more runs (just) before the time runs out.

Thanks heaps to all the other commanders that have helped out, it's been a blast.

15 mins to go on my last trip of , well i was going to say tonight , but its actually first trip of the morning , it's getting to me man .

Man, Haulers must be fragile beasts. I'm making run after run w/ my Asp and having 0 hull damage. Either that, or I'm just used to Exporation vessels that can go a very long way without any real damage...
My Asp had 34% integrity left on arrival at Hutton last night from 100% when I started.

Running my last trip. Goal is ending during before pants time, so not going to be making another run. It's been fun talking with all you guys during this long and lonely trip, made some friends, made some enemies. But hey, that's what the galaxy thrives on. I'll be seeing you all again one day, watching me as I surf the solar flares after a Disaster Area concert.

OK guys, this was my final run. 26 runs with 7072T delivered.

Kudos to all who contributed no matter how large or small their donations. It took ALL of you to make this happen!

It's been great meeting a lot of you and I hope to see you guys on the next CG!

Had a blast last hour or so, after I unloaded my cargo.

Me and several (dozen) others lurked around the station- Hutton Militia! One of the Commanders named us, after an Eagle kept repeatedly spawning, weaving among the station girders, and firing its 3 railguns at any idle and easy targets- like a Type6. Boooo! We became committed- on the lookout for any eagles on the contacts, spotters calling out "Eagle!" on chat to set the Wolves loose- fangs out!

There were landing pad blockaders as well, but my Fer De Lance and an Anaconda became rather adept at prying them off of the pad, and boosting them clear- those pointy noses helped.

I was Kill Warrant scanning the flotilla in the quiet times between the Eagle spawns, and fount some interesting bounties- but did not act upon them. "mymy! 1.2 million" I would text the clipper, "smuggling :p" he replied back. "No judgements unless you open fire upon a helpless toaster box or something" and left him alone.

Towards the end of the "tour of duty" that I volunteered myself into, a wing of three large ships arrived: an Anaconda, a Python, and a third to the wing I couldn't ID. They announced something officious like "this station is under blockade by the Core... yadda yadda yadda." (I dunno I stopped reading after the word CORE)

Shortly before our flotilla opened fire, I replied in local "how NICE of them to put a NAME to our targets!" The Anaconda (the named one) was obliterated rather humorously at the focus of many a laser and railgun beams (funny how that id'd the target so effectively among all pilots so quickly), and I personally hounded the fleeing Python down. Its shields tried to stay up, but it went boom rather quickly (Python trying to outrun a Ferdy- lul). The other ship got away. In the aftermath, I noted I was now wanted (must have shot the station once or twice..), and with that, left Hutton Orbital behind me for the foreseeable future.

After I left It dawned on me that I might have to return to... collect my mugs.

All in all; good times, good camaraderie, laughs and gratuitous violence throughout. \
Goofball eagles trying to poach helpless targets, ships bellyflopping across landing pads, a cobra docked on one and refusing to logout or hangar himself, even Core blockade action trying to impose.. I dunno what they were about other than legitimate targets- regardless, great fun throughout!

I would dare say it was the other player "griefing" antics that made it quite so interesting! Of course, The fact we had a community presence there that made short work of any griefers helped our mood considerably.

What's the status at Hutton at the moment? I just started my 4th run, still in solo because of reports of the Code blockade. I know that when the UK people are off, it's a little quiet and that's when the bad people seem to wake up. Once I'm far enough in the trip, I might switch to open if there is anyone but if anybody has seen any trouble at Hutton, I won't do it. Already lost a Python (and 6M cr) yesterday, not keen on losing another one (and my cargo).

Hutton website has a twitch feed, shows a pretty intense battle right now. I'm about 20 minutes out.

Oh seriously now!

I spent all this time running scrap and nary a scratch on my ship (well you know) and I go and get refitted and buff up the paint and all and go looking for an instance where i can maybe be of some assistance.

Well I found one that had some action in it, boy did I! I barely got in one and saw weapons fire. I started heading over to see what was up and some Commander came right over and stripped off my B6 shields like they were not even there.

POOF! 4mil down the drain!

What a drag for real.

Seriously considering switching to solo mode myself. For me, the mission is more important than glory. Seriously, is it a fair fight or are they using cheats? I won't even know who the good guys are until the bad guys start shooting.

I just checked the Twitch feed. Didn't see any activity. But with the latest reports, I think I will stay in solo unless a few commanders chime in to say it's safe...

EDIT: just checked again and there are those warnings that the CODE has blockaded the station. I don't think it's safe at the moment.

EDIT 2: the cameraman is still in his ship, I saw the camera moving. The blockade announcement I saw on the comm panel of the camera ship.

I couldn't tell ya if there were cheats or not. the first thing I targeted was a cop and then while looking for another target half of my scanner went red and within seconds I was dust.

Edit.....This was basically my vision of a starship dropping into Wolf 359 and seeing the Borg.

Resistance was futile! lol

4 min out. Nothing on sensors so far. Saw one CMDR in a T-6 who never responded to my hail.

With all this scrap will Hutton Orbital actually be turned into an actual orbital station?

Fair enough. I'm stopping at the 5 minute mark and switching to solo. One way or another, 36 tons of scrap is being added, in spite of this nasty group.

And starting harassing the cameraman again.

3 min out, now in solo.

Stay frosty everyone if you are heading to Hutton. The Pirates have intensified their blockade and it's getting heavy at and around the orbital. if you are unarmed or flying a cargo ship go solo and deliver your cargo, don't let these idiots stop us from completing the goal.

Wasn't safe for me. Was waiting for the pad with only one other CMDR in a T6 on the pad. A python dropped in the instance and I decided to see who it was. Since I can't name and shame I won't say his name but needless to say it was a rather well known and infamous CODE CMDR. I immediatley started running and he messaged me to leave the system. Started a jump to SC and found he was keeping pace which of course slowed down my SC charge. About the time I realized it wasn't gonna work and decided to select a different system he messaged me saying I was low waking and opened fire. I started my jump out of system drop chaff and then once i lost my shields went silent and dropped heat sinks, managed to make it away with 96% hull. Looks like another trip there for me. Just remember your not safe until you've dropped your cargo and jumped out again. Even if the instance seems quite. =P
