Set condition Mauve... The Hutton Mug CG looks like it is live....

Stay frosty everyone if you are heading to Hutton. The Pirates have intensified their blockade and it's getting heavy at and around the orbital. if you are unarmed or flying a cargo ship go solo and deliver your cargo, don't let these idiots stop us from completing the goal.

I would add that unless you fly an Anaconda armed to the teeth, don't bother. I was ambushed by a wing of 4 yesterday night. Even if I'm decent in combat and my Python has a good load out (3 large gimbaled beams and 2 medium gimbaled pulse, 4 A0 shield boosters, a 5A prismatic shield generator and a 3A shield cell banks, I didn't last 30 seconds, even though I didn't engage and just tried to flee. I was pumping my shield cells but since it takes about 10 seconds for them to replenish the shields, and with the firepower they were using, my shields went down pretty quickly. Then the thrusters, then I was dead.

So, I say, if you're not flying an Anaconda (and even that I'm not sure an Anaconda against 4 large ships armed to the teeth would outlive the battle), forget it.

UPDATE: I saw some shooting over Hutton Orbital through the Twitch feed. I'm not sure if the cameraman was shot at briefly. But it's hard to tell who is shooting at who. Still saw the warning that the station is under blockade by Cmdr S...

If i knew that there are other commanders fighting, I might join the fight but without knowing, this is too risky. This is the frustrating part, they are well organized and fly in wings while we're completely in the dark. People at the station don't seem to know about the forum. It would be nice if the cameraman could report from time to time what's going on too. Maybe we'll learn for the next CG...

One thing is sure. I have been watching the Twitch feed pretty non-stop for the last 20 minutes or so and I haven't seen a single ship landing on the medium pad.

OK folks that's me done (3am again), its been great fun.

23 loads, 5520 tons and far too many hours.

Great job all! 30 in the bag! lets hope the people to the west can finish it <fingers crossed>

Landed, went back to open creating a new instance, dropped my load and heading out for more.

Sorry, CODE, I just did an end around your blockade.

I think that's what I'm going to do. Once I landed, I'm going to switch to open, then I will nag them to death!

ETA: 17 minutes. Wish there would be other commanders willing to fight so we could pay back for all the killed commanders.

At least these Code pr......err, blockaders..... are by their own actions vindicating Frontier's decision to have the ability to switch modes to avoid such behaviour. I know they claim it to be a blockade rather than griefing, but I'm not sure I buy it, no matter how honourable Gluttony's intentions may or may not be. All it does in my mind is prove that if Frontier provides situations where a group feels they can blockade (ala Eve I guess), they'll certainly try (and won't care how it impacts on anyone else so long as they're the ones having fun). Should confirm in Frontier's mind, if they had any doubts, as to the type of behaviour they can expect from certain types of players, and to what degree large segments of this community despise such gameplay (and doubts the alleged motives put forth here on the forums). Proves even further in my mind that the mode switching approach was the correct one for Frontier to take.

Left Alpha Centuri at 9:08 PM and got there at 10:35.

I'm done for the night. Best of luck to everyone contributing.

Long live the Emperor. Long live the Mug.

Blockade's still up. Just flew in with no trouble into a malestrom of laser fire and threats. Dropped to Solo to avoid wasting another hour and a half.

I just made the hutton run for a mission. In my type-6, with nothing in my cargo hold.

Had no trouble getting there, jumped out to the station, and no one. So I quit out and loaded back in. Ah, there they were. The blockaders flying about.

I approached. Got a message that the station was blockaded. Replied with something along the lines of that I'm here for a mision and I'll submit to a cargo scan. response was "high wake out or you will be destroyed".

I again stated that I was not carrying cargo, and I was not a threat to their cause.

Well, no cargo scan to see if I was lying, and a prompt 'high wake out or you will be destroyed', then boom, dead. Yeah, they told me to leave, but didn't give me the reason.

Well, I read 'The Code's reasons for the blockade. I can understand it. And it kind of seems moot if they're just gonna destroy whatever ship is inbound. So what, are you just blockading the station for the hell of it? The whole "You were warned" doesn't work unless I know what I'm warned about. So... I'm guessing somewhere along the lines the spirit of the blockade was lost. Going from, "No scrap allowed" to "Let's just blow up whatever" is a pretty big shift.

(edit) I was really hoping on this hutton run to find the blockade. Thought it would be a nice RP opportunity. Alas, I was wrong. I'm guessing if I showed up with a stock sidey they would do the same thing. "You can't park here for no reason! Die!"

Just arrived again at Al-Din to re-fuel and am heading out once more with another 36 tones.

Quick question: if someone is sitting o the pad, I'm getting there in solo, then once landed, I switch to open. What's going to happen when I want to take off?

Different instance, I guess...

Lol, that would be hilarious! But I think if someones on the pad already, when you load in you probably get switched to a different instance.

Check contacts. If someone's on the same pad as you, you might end up in another instance. I always go into the hanger when doing this. If it's raining bullets out there, switch back to solo. You should be able to hear all the ruckus outside.

Yeah it will either find an instance where the pad is open or more likely it will create a new instance.

So, what you guys would suggest I do to be in the same instance than those s so I could nag them (without putting myself into too much a dangerous situation, of course)?

Just finished my last run,
the number doesn't matter. I met my goal,
and feel like this was the best thing to happen
since I started playing.

Well done folks, well done.

I've never figured out how to get into another instance (this is the first time I've ever played an on-line game so I'm learning about this stuff on the fly). My guess is log out of solo and back into open (make sure you're INSIDE the hanger!!) and check contacts. If you find a pile of contacts, you're in a very busy spot. My suggestion is don't taunt. Reason: There may be someone desperate to get on to that pad. Just log in to open so it registers the delivery (I did mine in open). If things are bad out there, log back in to solo and head back out.

Read my post about my mission run a few postes up where I was blown to bits for no reason other than being there.

If you want to taunt, I'm guessing quit to menu and reload back into open. sooner or later you will find an instance with 'The Code' flying about killing anything around for no reason, even if they have nothing in their cargo.

Just thought of this, but I cant help with it. it would be hilarious is a full wing of anacondas showed up with cargo full. And then just peppered the station with 1000 canisters of jettisoned scrap. lets see them blockade that shotgun blast.

The Code only put out their statement of blockade yesterday morning as a almost transparent veil to justify days of griefing that had already occurred by them. One of their leaders has been banned from Reddit tonight because he was making threats to shoot someone in real life. just shows you these idiots mindsets.

So, I just completed my 4th run to Hutton Orbital:

I was finally able to join the same instance as everyone else. Cmdr JonnyBadman told me I was on TV, lol! Since there was a lot of fighting going on, I decided to do my part. Targeted one of the infamous commander making threats and started firing at him with a few others. He lost his shields and high waked out. I was not sure who was who and I didn't want to shoot someone by mistake. Another of these idiots then targeted me. I turned around with FA off trying to get him in front of me. I had used my second shield cell at that time (out of 3). Not sure what happened but my shields went quickly down and this guy rammed me. Lost another Python, the 2nd in 2 days. Ouch. 12M credits devoted to that CG. I switched to solo and left that place because my funds are getting dangerously low and I don't want to sell the Asp that I've been prepping for some exploration.

That's it with the Hutton Mug for me! Good stuff. I'm glad I started looking at the CG because that was my first one and it was great!

Can someone explain how the CG reward work? When I look at my status, I see that I have 400,000cr guaranteed. But when I look under the CG description, I see the tiers with an amount of credit. I'm in top 30% and it says "Top 30% Receives 5,000,000Cr + global awards". What is this 5M Cr and what are "global awards"?

Good for you Commander, glad you got a shot in for the rest of us. I'm currently 18 minutes out with another 36 tones that CODE won't stop from being delivered.

Like you, I never know who to shoot at first. :)
