Shield Generator. Fast Charging, Low Capacity

Suggesting a counterpart to Prismatic shields. This one would have tiny strength (even lower than E-grade), but great recharge rate (better than bi-weave). Other than recharge rate and capacity, it would have the same stats as a Prismatic. Heavy, hot and power-hungry.

That is essentially what a biweave already is.
No, not even close. Bi-weave has D-grade strength and C-grade mass and power draw.
Prismatics' optimal strength is what a C-grade's maximum strength is. However, they are twice as heavy and drain over double the power. If you want your ship to act the best it can, you can't just slap them on, you have to build around them.

With that in mind, please read the OP again.

So you just want a shield that is ubreakable because it recharges so fast instead of one that's ubreakable because its ridiculous strength...
How about no. But they should revove prismatics altogether.

Yes, I do. However as far as I know, shields don't regenerate while under constant fire. What I'm suggesting should be easier to break than Prismatic unless you're amazing at avoiding getting shot.

But if I could get Prismatics removed instead, I'll take it xD

You'd still be out of capacitor charge. The only thing that modifies the joules of juice per joule of shielding is the Lo-draw experimental effect, and it's only a 20% reduction. Yeah, you would have seemingly invincible shields for the brief moment before your distributor goes bone-dry, even with charge-enhanced. I don't think it will work as fantastic as you gamed it out to be. Tiny shield pool means large SCBs will also be far less effective unless you pad the internals with Guardian shield reinforcements, which sucks even more power from the power plant on top of your turbo-tri-weaves that you proposed to have the same requirements of a Prismatic. Not to mention, you have to stop taking damage for 3 seconds before recharge even kicks in. A couple of plasma hits will put you into insta-collapse. What scenario do you propose to be using this in?
