Shields module switches on by itself

So, as I'm out exploring, I run with the shields off - deactivated in the modules list. Since this new update whenever I jump to a new system the shield module is activated and my shields start to charge. Anyone else get this? Is it a setting somewhere now?

Likewise. Shield generator turns itself back on again after each jump. Other modules are not affected.
 
I'm starting to have this problem now, kinda strange though just left for a bit of exploring and had changed some modules around in the ship, was running a bit hotter so deactivated some mods.
Heat while scooping isn't really a problem unless I have gone several jumps without being able to fuel scoop. deactivating the shields actually kept the ship quite a bit cooler at 63 where with them up i would hit 68 or 69 while scooping and jump to +70 easily when scooping for more then one jump.
Funny thing is I made about 6 or 7 jumps with the shields staying deactivated and then suddenly this started to happen, nothing I have tried so far has reverted this behavior, guess ill just leave them on since its normally not an issue, and I also will submit a report on it.
 
It's known bug, along with power priorities resetting coming out of SC, which is a mare for PvP players
 
Could be part of the realism. You could be jumping back in time just slightly to before you turned it off.
 
I suspect it only happens if you are above 100% power usage - my priorities do not reset either, but I have spare power. I can't test it right now because I'm still in the void 10kly from home.
 
Are all power priorities resetting though?
I have currently priorities 1 & 2 in use, and they don't seem to reset.
Yes...sometimes...on some ships. On my ships where I have the hardpoints used most of the time all modules reset to priority 1 whenever I enter or exit supercruise, without exception. at least some of them do. On ships where I have nothing in most hardpoints the priorities almost never reset at all (went a few days on my exploration ship with priorities sticking).

Nope, 100% is not a factor. I have only 1 ship that exceeds 100. It's actually one of the ships that does NOT regularly reset priorities in my fleet. Incidentally, it also has nothing fitted into hardpoints. So, for me at least, hard points really seem to be a factor.

I have 2 of 6 hardpoints in use, them modules switched off for the time being. Active hardpoints may be the factor here.
 
My power priorities seem to be all over the place. Deployed hardpoints yesterday and my shields go offline / life support off. Not great.
 
Ohh lol. Just landed on a planet and SRV shield was off and auto reactivating :) SRV module priorities are all messed up too

I was in SC and was smuggling something, so I turned my shields off (as well as a lot of other things) to lower heat signature and dropped out of SC at the station. Imagine my surprise when about 4km from the station my shields pop back on. Now I know why.

Haven't had this problem but I did have a FSD that deactivated itself last night.
 
Another module that comes on automatically now is flight assist. In the past you could have your DC on, go FA/Off, drift to your desired point in front of the slot before engaging FA and the DC would take over. Now, if you have DC on, the DC will turn FA on right away as soon as your throttle is zeroed.
